JOJO WORLD was a limited-time amusement center for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation organized by Bandai Namco Amusement. It began on March 5, 2021 and took place in various venues in Japan until December 2021.[1] JOJO WORLD then spread internationally, appearing in London in May 2023, and in New York in November 2023.

An upgraded version of the event, titled JOJO WORLD2 began in August 2022 in Japan. JOJO WORLD2 was brought to the United States in March 2024 and April 2024 with the title "JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE WORLD".

Summary

JOJO WORLD features attractions and minigames, initially only based on the first five parts of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. There are sales of various goods with newly drawn illustrations, JoJo-themed food and desserts, and photo spots. When the event was initially announced, there were only three locations and it was going to be held until September 12, 2021. On September 1, 2021, three additional locations were unveiled, and also featured Stone Ocean.[2][3]

JOJO WORLD was held during Jump Festa 2022 on December 18 and December 19, 2021 at the Bandai Namco Amusement Booth in Makuhari Messe.[4] An eighth venue took place in Kanazawa from April 29 to May 29, 2022, with the key visual updated to include Jolyne Cujoh.[5]

Yokohama

The first location was at Yokohama on the second floor of Yokohama World Porters, held from March 5 to May 9, 2021. It was next to the escalator, located near Hamleys.[6][7]

Osaka

The second location was at Osaka in HEP FIVE on the ninth floor, held from May 21 to July 11, 2021. It was originally going to be until June 27, 2021 but was extended.[8][9]

The fourth location was at Tokyo in Sunshine City World Import Mart on the third floor, held from September 18 to October 13, 2021. The specific part of the building is called NAMJATOWN and the entrance is on the second floor.[2][12]

The seventh location was at Mihama-ku in the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall. It took place at the Bandai Namco Amusement booth from December 18 to December 19, 2021.[8]

The eighth location was at Kanazawa in Kanazawa Forus on the sixth floor, held from April 29 to May 29, 2022.[5]

A chair is set up in front of an oversized panel showing the main characters from each part: Jonathan Joestar, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, Josuke Higashikata, and Giorno Giovanna. You can sit in the chair and take a photo beside them in your favorite pose.

A minigame where you can get prizes by pouring in your Ripple energy. It is a digital roulette game based on when Will Anthonio Zeppeli punches a frog to demonstrate the Ripple's power to Jonathan. When you punch a stuffed frog, a scene of Zeppeli punching the frog will appear on the monitor and you will receive one of the prizes from A to C depending on the result. It costs 500¥ to play the game.

  • The rewards for scoring an A are two multi-purpose cloths. One of them features the JoJos while the other features them in Cutie Figure style along with their rivals or allies. They are 400mm x 800mm. You can choose which one you want.
  • The rewards for scoring a B are ten acrylic display stands featuring the JoJos, Dio, Caesar, Kakyoin, Rohan, and Bucciarati in Cutie Figure style. They are 80mm x 87 mm. You can choose which one you want.
  • The rewards for scoring a C are 20 Scene Photo Bromides. They are 88mm x 127mm. Two of the cards will be randomly given at the same time.

A minigame where you can win prizes by spinning a lottery wheel that resembles the chariot battle between Joseph Joestar and Wamuu. When you spin the lottery wheel, the balls spin around like a chariot in the Colosseum-shaped object. Depending on the color of the ball that comes out, you can get one of the prizes from A to C. It costs 500¥ to play the game.

The prizes are the same as the Part 1 minigame.

A minigame where you can get prizes by photographing DIO with Joseph's Hermit Purple. It is a digital lottery based on when Joseph Joestar used Hermit Purple on a television. You activate Hermit Purple by holding your hand over the monitor, which will cause an image to be captured. Depending on the result of the image displayed on the monitor, you will receive one of the prizes from A to C. It costs 500¥ to play the game.

  • The rewards for scoring an A are two cushions that are 297mm x 420mm. One of them has The World on the front and High DIO on the back. The other has a collage of various DIO moments and a JOJO WORLD logo on the front, with DIO showing his body's Star Birthmark on the opposite side. You can choose which one you want.
  • The rewards for scoring a B are ten pin-back buttons featuring DIO in all of them. They are 44mm x 70mm. You can choose which one you want.
  • The rewards for scoring a C are 15 postcards featuring DIO. They are 100mm x 148mm. Only one is given and it is distributed randomly.

A Sugoroku-style attraction that takes you on a journey as the Joestar Group from Japan to Egypt, where DIO is located. Using a touch screen monitor, you battle enemy Stand users waiting at each square through minigames and quizzes, aiming for the final destination, DIO's mansion. A roulette decides how many squares you can advance. The ending changes depending on the results of the Stand battles and roulette.

There is a single player mode, a two-player mode, and you can confront all 26 of DIO's Stand user agents. It costs 880¥ to play the game. The estimated time required for it is 15 minutes, though the time differs depending on whether you are playing by yourself or with someone else.

  • All participants will receive an A2 size tarot card in the end, which displays 22 tarot cards. They can be cut out to become individual cards.
  • The prize for defeating DIO is a photograph that the Joestar group took when they reached Egypt, titled The Joestar Group's Memories.

An interactive attraction where you can be "interviewed" by Rohan with simulated dialogue. It begins with Rohan inviting his fans to his house to listen to his stories for his manga. The attraction is in a private room, and two people can enjoy it at the same time. You'll meet with Rohan on a monitor and answer a few of his questions. He'll reply back and his voice can be heard with headphones.

There are various endings depending on the choices you make, and Rohan judges what kind of role you would have in a manga, such as a "Supporting Character" role. It costs 1100¥ to participate. The estimated time of it is 15-20 minutes.

A mission-progressing attraction where one person can use a PC to take a Passione suitability test for determining which team you belong to. If you successfully complete the personality test and puzzle game, you will receive a phone call from the leader of either Team Bucciarati (Bruno Bucciarati) or La Squadra Esecuzioni (Risotto Nero) and personally receive your designation.

Depending on your personality type (such as Giorno, Fugo, etc.), you'll receive an instructor to train you for your first mission. It costs 1100¥ to participate. The estimated time required for it is 10-15 minutes.

Personality Types and Instructors
Giorno Giovanna: You are the type of person who can accurately assess the situation around you and make calm decisions. You have strong conviction, decisiveness, and good support. You are the Giorno type! The right person to educate you on your first mission is Mista!

Bruno Bucciarati: If you see someone in trouble, you can't help but help them, the Bucciarati type! You have the ability to lead, and to see the whole picture and maintain balance. Abbacchio is the right person to educate you on your first mission!
Leone Abbacchio: You are vigilant and can act cautiously, the Abbacchio type! You are able to examine what's in front of you and make calm judgments. The right person to educate you on your first mission is Bucciarati!
Guido Mista: You don't care about details, and you have a cheerful and generous personality. You are dependable and able to see things from a broad perspective. You are the Mista type! The right person to educate you on your first mission is Giorno!
Narancia Ghirga: You have an innocent and straightforward personality, the Narancia type! You have a strong sense of camaraderie and honesty. The right person to educate you on your first mission is Fugo!
Pannacotta Fugo: You are a caring person, but you also have an emotional side, so you are the Fugo type! You are quick thinking and aware of what is going on around you, capable of giving appropriate advice. The right person to educate you on your first mission is Narancia!
Risotto Nero: You are the calm and cautious Risotto type! You are able to act calmly and carefully at all times, and can analyze things with logical thinking. The right person to educate you on your first mission is the same type, Risotto!
Formaggio: You appear to be aloof, but you watch vigilantly for your chance, the Formaggio type! You are highly perceptive and willing to take chances. You're aware of oversights by peers and excellent in a support role. The right person to educate you on your first mission is Illuso!
Illuso: If you're confident in your abilities and have a high sense of pride, you're the Illuso type! You're self-confident and proud, as well as a scheming person who is afraid to make enemies. The right person to educate you on your first mission is Formaggio!
Prosciutto: You are a caring and manly person, the Prosciutto type! You have absolute trust in those close to you. The right person to educate you on your first mission is Pesci!
Pesci: If you're a careful thinker, you're the Pesci type! You're a "mammoni", but you have room to grow. The right person to educate you on your first mission is Prosciutto!
Melone: You are an obsessive person with sensibilities that are not bound by logic or common sense, the Melone type! You are skilled at finding and praising people's good points and developing them. The right person to educate you on your first mission is Ghiaccio!
Ghiaccio: You are quick-witted and can notice small details. You are the Ghiaccio type! The right person to educate you on your first mission is Melone!

A minigame where you can win prizes by pulling a string on a lottery that resembles Stone Free. It costs 500¥ to play the game.
