Lovers, Part 1 (
Summary
The Joestar group finds out the whole town in which they spent the night was made of illusions by Justice, and every resident was actually a corpse. The group decides to bring Enya with them until they can find a TV and use Hermit Purple to read her mind. This way, they will have the advantage by stealing information about DIO and his remaining mercenaries from her. Hol Horse recommends that they just kill her instead as he drives off in their jeep.
The group arrives at Karachi, Pakistan's capital city. Joseph decides to eat something. Seeing a Shish Kebab vendor near him, he asks how much do five kebabs cost and the merchant tells him the price for five is 1,000 yen (or 120 rupees). Aware of the local haggling culture, Joseph also haggles with the vendor until they agree on a price of 425 yen. Joseph is satisfied, unaware that the merchant tricked him into paying more than the normal price which would have been 150 yen.
The unconscious Enya wakes up and is shocked to see the merchant, asking if DIO sent him to kill her. He tells her that DIO trusts no one, not even her, so it is his job to kill all of them. It is revealed Enya also had a bud spore on her, which grows tentacles and starts to rip her face off as the merchant reveals himself as Steely Dan. Polnareff asks what's wrong with Steely Dan, as he killed someone on his own side.
