Guido Mista (グイード・ミスタ, Guīdo Misuta) was confirmed to return for All-Star Battle R during the game's initial announcement trailer.[1]
His moveset is fundamentally the same as his from All-Star Battle, with a few tweaks being made to both balance the character and fit him into the overall gameplay tweaks that All-Star Battle R brought.
In the English version of All-Star Battle R, Mista's Stand, Sex Pistols, is localized as "Six Bullets", carried on from its first official usage in All-Star Battle.
Replacing Kenji Akabane, Kosuke Toriumi reprises his role as Mista's voice actor from the Golden Wind anime adaptation. Toriumi also replaces Asami Imai as Sex Pistols. As with the majority of the game's roster, voice lines for Mista were either added or re-recorded.
Mista has 950 health and uses the Stand (スタンド, Sutando) Battle Style, fighting foes with Sex Pistols. During a fight, he can use several different attacks that were featured in Vento Aureo.

Style/Specials/Etc. (スタイル/特殊技/その他)
Time to get to work!
ON GROUND IN AIR OK
Sex Pistols enter Mista's gun, attaching themselves to the next bullet fired and ricocheting the shot through the opponent upon contact, increasing the damage dealt and number of hits as well as imparting homing capabilities. The Stand will still ricochet the bullet even if the shot is successfully blocked, causing increased block-stun and Guard damage.
One input equates one Pistol, and repeated inputs cause more Pistols to enter the gun at once, further enhancing the shot's damage, hit count, and homing power as the Stand passes the bullet to each other through the opponent. When this ability is used, the empowered bullet is shown flashing red in the Ammunition Icon.
This ability executes passively without action from Mista himself; This means it can be used while moving, in mid-air, and even in the middle of attacking. While this ability can be combined with "Places, everyone!", it will not recall placed pistols, so Mista must have Pistols left over to utilize this ability after "Places, everyone!" has been used.
Places, everyone!
/ / + ON GROUND IN AIR OK
Mista deploys Sex Pistols in the air, where they remain hovering and stationary. He will normally place one Sex Pistol, but if he uses the input, he will place three (or however many are remaining if there's less than three) at once. Use of this move allows Mista to use his "Pass, pass, pass!" skill.
This ability can also be used while in mid-air, and while it can be used after some Pistols have already been loaded via "Time to get to work!", there must be Pistols remaining for Mista to utilize to use this skill as it will not recall already loaded Pistols.
Get back here!
+ ON GROUND
Mista instantly recalls any and all of the Sex Pistols that are active with "Time to get to work!" or "Places, everyone!".
Reload
+ or automatically when bullets are depleted during "Gonna light you up!" or "Pass, pass, pass!"ON GROUND
Mista quickly reloads his gun. This move can reload one to six bullets and can be canceled by any action, whether that be moving, attacking, jumping, or Stylish Guarding. It will also be interrupted if Mista is attacked during the animation. If Mista runs out of bullets, this ability will automatically activate the next time he attempts to use either "Gonna light you up!" or "Pass, pass, pass!".
Smash!
+ ON GROUND
Mista moves forward and delivers a forceful push kick, striking the opponent in the leg and staggering them. This is a command normal that can chain into Mista's skills. (Comboable)
Attack type: Low Damage: 18
Pistols Icon
Passive
Located above Mista's Ammunition Icon are six icons of his six Sex Pistols. These icons display how many Pistols Mista currently has available to him. If a Pistol is not available, their respective icon will be darkened.
Ammunition Icon
Passive
Located above Mista's Heart Heat Gauge are six icons that display how many bullets he currently has loaded in his revolver. Loaded bullets will be purple while shot ones will be darkened. If a Sex Pistol is currently attached to a bullet, it will glow red. While reloading, which can be done via either "Reload" or "Quick Reload", the word "Reload" will appear over the icons to indicate that the action is taking place.
Unlucky Number 4.
Automatically activates when hit while only 4 bullets are loaded
Any time Mista receives damage when his Ammunition Icon shows four bullets, he loses an amount of Heart Heat proportional to the damage taken as a panel of his face visibly panicking appears. For every hit, he will lose Heart Heat, meaning multi-hitting attacks can drain a lot of Heart Heat quickly. However, if an attack is blocked, he will lose less. This effect will continue until his bullet count changes.
Resolve Mode (覚悟モード, Kakugo Mōdo)
Activates below 20% health
This mode is automatically activated once Mista falls below 20% health. It increases his attack power, as well as the rate at which the Heart Heat Gauge rises. He also gains Super Armor during the start up of all his normal attacks and skills. Mista's bullets will also gain the ability to pierce through non-HHA/GHA projectiles.
Skills (コマンド技)
Gonna light you up!
+ // ON GROUND IN AIR OK WHEN DOWNED
Mista fires his gun, shooting a high-speed bullet. The attack button inputted determines his aim. If used in the air, this skill suspends his fall and alters his possible firing angles. The gunshots can also strike a downed opponent. (Flash Cancel comboable)
Ground versions:
Light (): Mista fires at an upward angle, allowing him to anti-air a jumping opponent.
Medium (): Mista fires straight forward.
Heavy (): Mista fires downward, making it easier to shoot a downed opponent.
Aerial versions:
Light (): Mista fires straight forward, allowing him to challenge an opponent also in the air.
Medium (): Mista fires at a diagonally downwards angle.
Heavy (): Mista fires sharply downward, almost underneath him.
He may fire more shots at once with subsequent button presses, even firing at the other possible angles with the alternate attack buttons. If all six bullets land, the sixth shot will knock the opponent down in a soft knockdown.
If "Time to get to work!" is in effect and Sex Pistols are attached to a bullet when it is fired, it will gain homing capabilities and deal drastically more damage depending on the amount of Pistols attached. To note, any subsequent shots after the initial one cannot be enhanced through Sex Pistols, merely tacking on small amounts of extra damage.
Should any bullet incidentally come in contact with a Sex Pistol deployed with "Places, everyone!", it will automatically be redirected toward the opponent.
When 4 or 5 Pistols are attached to the bullet, if it connects, it will launch the opponent.
When 6 Pistols are attached to a bullet, if it connects, it will knock the opponent to the ground in a hard knockdown.
If is inputted while a bullet with Pistols on it is in the air, all the Pistols riding the bullet can be made to jump off of it, causing them to hover in the air like they were placed there with "Places, everyone!".
This skill can cancel into "I'll ask the damn questions!".
(While Pistols are deployed) + // ON GROUND IN AIR OK
After "Places, everyone!" is used, Mista can fire a shot aimed at one of the deployed Sex Pistols. If there are multiple Pistols, they will pass the bullet(s) to each other, with the last Pistol kicking it at the opponent; Different inputs determine which of the Pistols he will fire at first and the order they will pass the bullet(s) amongst each other. If used in the air, this skill suspends Mista's fall. Any Pistol that has redirected a bullet will return to Mista once he stops firing. (Flash Cancel comboable)
Light (): Mista fires at the nearest Pistol which then passes the bullet to the Pistol closest to it.
Medium (): Mista fires at the first Pistol that was deployed which then passes the bullet to the next Pistol that was deployed.
Heavy (): Mista fires at the last Pistol deployed which then passes the bullet to the Pistol that was deployed before it.
Mista may fire more shots at once with subsequent button presses, even firing at other possible deployed Pistols with the alternate attack buttons; If all six bullets land, the sixth shot will knock the opponent down.
This skill delays the landing of the bullet, and can potentially hit the opponent at unexpected angles. However, the damage does not increase past the first Pistol, making passing the bullet along additional Pistols serve to further delay the shot. Due to the modular timing and delay offered by this skill, Mista may use it for unique purposes such as combo utility or even setting up an automatic combo-breaker if the opponent attacks while he's firing.
Attack type: High Damage: 12
Quick Reload
+ for ½ HH ON GROUND
Consuming half of stock of the Heart Heat Gauge, Mista can instantly reload by dropping the bullets from his hat directly into the open cylinder, reloading the bullets all at once. This skill can be used whether or not he's actually out of bullets.
I'll ask the damn questions!
+ // ON GROUND
Mista leaps forward in a flying knee attack. This is Mista's only melee special skill and the only one that can activate Rush Mode.
Light (): This variant can be Flash Canceled and will combo into HHA. It has no invulnerability though. It will launch the opponent away on hit. (Flash Cancel Comboable)
Medium (): This variant has invulnerability, but cannot be Flash Canceled. It will launch the opponent away on hit.
Heavy (): This variant has invulnerability, but cannot be Flash Canceled. It will cause a crumple on hit. Unlike the other variants, it will not combo off of grounded normals due to its long startup. (Comboable)
Attack type: High Damage: 30 / 40 / 50
Throw (投げ技)
Devastating Knee
2 ATK buttons near opponent or ( to back-throw) ON GROUND
Mista grabs and holds the opponent as he roughly knees them in the torso, then kicks them away. If the back-throw version is used, Mista elbows them in the back of the head after the knee instead.
Attack type: Throw Damage: 100
Heart Heat Attack / Great Heat Attack (HHA / GHA)
Aim! Aim, you idiots!
+ 2 ATK Buttons
ON GROUND
Mista shoots a singular bullet, which is followed and broken into pieces by all six of the Sex Pistols kicking it at once. The pieces are launched at the opponent (similar to his attack on Sale) in a vertically fanning formation, dealing more damage the closer the opponent is. All of Mista's Pistols will be reset, and all of his bullets will be reloaded after this HHA.
This HHA deals most of its damage on the first hit, and as a successful Counter Hit doubles the damage of a single initial hit, the damage increase to the attack is massive compared to most other attacks in the game. Coupled with the attack's short startup, speed, and range, it becomes an reliable tool for retaliation and punishment.
Attack type: High Damage: 190
My true resolve starts here!
+ 3 ATK Buttons or
ON GROUND
Mista rapidly fires off a full chamber of six bullets, while Sex Pistols carry each bullet toward the opponent, possessing some homing capabilities. If any one of them hits, Mista will take the opportunity to Quick Reload, dropping bullets from his hat cleanly into the cylinder chambers, and shoot another whole cylinder. Each bullet is then redirected and ricocheted by Sex Pistols multiple times, passing them to each other, as they hit the opponent from different angles. The attack then finishes with Sex Pistols kicking the the final bullet they were riding through the opponent's forehead at an incredible speed.
This GHA has the added passive effect of reloading Mista's Ammunition Icon and returning all the Pistols to him.
Attack type: High Damage: 374 / 448 / 561 (depending on HH gauge)

Places, everyone!
/ / + ON GROUND IN AIR OK
This move can now be used to place the Sex Pistols around the stage, even if "Time to get to work!" has already been activated so long as Mista has Pistols left over to utilize since this ability will still not recall placed Pistols. This also means that by itself can no longer activate this ability as it will instead load a Pistol now.
Reload
+ or automatically when bullets are depleted during "Gonna light you up!" or "Pass, pass, pass!"ON GROUND
This ability now has an input that can be utilized at any time rather than being an automatic ability that will only activate once Mista runs out of bullets. This allows Mista to reload his gun at any time without having to spend meter, which is especially helpful when trying to avoid Mista's "Unlucky Number 4." passive. Additionally, Mista loads his bullets much faster than he did in All-Star Battle.
Smash!

Mista moves a significantly farther distance forward now than he did in All-Star Battle.

The variant of this skill now crumples the opponent on hit rather than launching them like the other variants. However, it is now a High rather than a Middle. Furthermore, the damage now increases with the strength of the attack button inputted instead of staying the same across variants. Additionally, the variant has lost its invulnerability; it has gained the ability to be Flash Canceled though. Meanwhile, the variant has lost its ability to be Flash Canceled, but has gained invulnerability.
