Muhammad Avdol (モハメド・アヴドゥル, Mohamedo Avuduru) was confirmed to return for All-Star Battle R during the game's initial announcement trailer.[1]
His moveset is fundamentally the same as his from All-Star Battle, although with a few tweaks being made to both balance the character and fit him into the overall gameplay tweaks that All-Star Battle R brought.
The English localization of the game has Avdol's name as "Mohammad Avdol", carried on from its All-Star Battle debut.
Replacing Masashi Ebara, Kenta Miyake reprises his role as Avdol's voice actor from the Stardust Crusaders anime adaptation. As with the majority of the game's roster, voicelines for Avdol were either added or re-recorded.
Avdol has 1000 health and uses the Stand (スタンド, Sutando) Battle Style, fighting foes with Magician's Red. During a fight, he can use several different attacks that were featured in Stardust Crusaders.

(Comboable) This projectile is one of the few in the game that can hit Risotto Nero while he is invisible.

If they happen to hit a wall, they will bounce off of it. A Stand Rush skill that Avdol can disconnect from to attack the opponent while it is executing. (Flash Cancel comboable)
Magician's Red charges its fist. After a short delay, it punches downward in a powerful single attack, knocking the opponent into the air. The damage and height the opponent is knocked into the air increases in order, although this also increases vulnerability. This move has a guard-point effect, allowing Magician's Red to absorb a single strike aside from Throws/cinematic HHAs/GHAs; Any form of single-hitting attack against it will be met with the premature release of the attack. A Stand Rush skill that Avdol can disconnect from to attack the opponent while it is executing. (Flash Cancel comboable)

Crossfire Hurricane Special

Avdol conjures a spinning ring of small Crossfire Hurricane projectiles around himself that expand outward. If they strike, the opponent will be knocked into the air. Avdol then unleashes the volley of projectiles on them, relentlessly pelting them and knocking them higher into the air. Meanwhile, Magician's Red will charge up and increase the intensity of the attack, before finally blowing the opponent up with a gigantic Crossfire Hurricane Variation erupting from the ground (much like how Avdol defeated Polnareff the first time they met).

Avdol lands in and summons Magician's Red to charge its fist before striking out, launching the opponent into the air before withdrawing his stand, striking a pose, and jumping back off-screen. If the enemy hits Avdol or Magician's Red while he's charging, a single attack will be guarded against and Magician's Red will charge faster and strike out sooner.

A one-stock assist. Avdol jumps into the enemy, hitting them with Magician's Red and knocking them back. He then withdraws his Stand and poses before jumping back off-screen.

This results in the damage being different for all three variants, with the variant being significantly less while the variant is significantly greater. The variant is slightly less, but relatively comparable. The and variants have also lost their ability to be Flash Canceled, while the variant has lost its invulnerability on startup.

The and variants' projectiles are now slower but travel a greater distance. The projectile will also disappear if Avdol takes damage now. Additionally, the translation for this skill has changed slightly. Previously it was "Flaming Detector" in place of "Flame Detector".
HELL 2 U!

Magician's Red moves farther out while attacking for all variants. Because of this and the fact that the duration of the skill remains the same, this results in Magician's Red teleporting back to Avdol when using the variant rather than sliding back like it does with the other variants. The now launches the opponent while the variant now launches the opponent farther away than it did in All-Star Battle into a hard knockdown instead of a soft knockdown. It can also now cause a wallbounce if the opponent hits a wall after being launched away. The damage for all variants is also greater. Furthermore, the first strike of the assault now only hits once instead of twice.

The startup of the variant has decreased while the recovery of the variant has increased, affecting their animations accordingly. The height the opponent is launched and the damage dealt increases as the strength of the attack button inputted does instead of staying the same across variants. Heart Heat Attack / Great Heat Attack (HHA / GHA)

The camera behavior after the HHA finishes is different. Instead of being a slow pan that zooms out as it moves, it quickly zooms out as the camera view moves upward then straight down. Previously it was "Gimmie four wishes instead!" in place of "Give me four wishes instead!".

When facing Jean Pierre Polnareff, the coins Polnareff skewers in his match entrance animation are on fire, a reference to the original scene where Polnareff stabs through a set of coins with Avdol's flames.[3]
Avdol's "Flame Detector" skill is one of four types of projectiles that can hit Risotto Nero when he is invisible, the other three being all of Narancia Ghirga's projectiles, Mariah's "Sorry, but you'll have to die now" skill, and Yuya Fungami's "I got you!" skill.

Avdol's theme is HELL 2 U! (HELL 2U!, Heru Tū Yū!), and can be unlocked in-game by landing the "Crossfire Hurricane" skill in All-Star Battle Mode's Avdol vs Mariah Normal Battle.
Its name is in reference to Avdol saying the exact line "Hell 2 U!" to Cameo in Chapter 65 of Stardust Crusaders as a parody of Cameo's own "Hail 2 U!" line.
User of the Stand Magician's Red. He is a friend of Joseph Joestar. An astrologer by trade, with great leadership and charm. He saves Polnareff and Iggy from Cool Ice's ambush at DIO's Mansion, but dies in the process.

Standing Heavy Attack [Stand Off]
Adjusted the position of the hitbox to fix situations where some characters would not be hit if they were in Stand Mode.
Crouching Medium Attack [Stand Off]
Fixed a bug where the attack could not be canceled if it hit an opponent during the later half of its duration.
Standing Heavy Attack [Stand On]
Adjusted the action of Magician's Red returning to Avdol upon activation.
This change is to make it easier to cancel into this attack when a Standing Medium Attack hits on the edge of its hitbox.
Crouching Medium Attack [Stand On]
Fixed a bug where the collision box was disappearing during the attack.

Sped up when Magician's Red's collision box would disappear to help prevent moves from both players not hitting due to collision boxes colliding and pushing both players away from each other.
