Yoshikage Kira's New Situation, Part 1 (吉良吉影の新しい事情 その①, Kira Yoshikage no Atarashī Jijō Sono 1), originally The Romance of Housewife Shinobu Kawajiri!! (主婦「川尻しのぶ」のロマンス!!, Shufu 'Kawajiri Shinobu' no Romansu!!) in the WSJ release, is the 105th chapter of Diamond is Unbreakable and the 370th chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.
Summary
The next day, Shinobu reminds herself of the circumstances of her marriage with Kosaku. She never fell in love with him, but dating him provided her with prestige among her friends. Thus, she married him to maintain her reputation. She then got pregnant with a son, Hayato, effectively trapping her into the union. Shinobu now finds herself married to an uninteresting husband. Finding her cat stuck outside of the window, she goes to the shower scolding Kosaku for trapping it outside again. Not minding the cat's strange reaction to Kosaku, she nonetheless realizes that something is off with her husband. As Hayato goes to school without greeting his parents, the proprietor of their house enters. He demands the two months worth of rent that the Kawajiri family owes him, which is 260,000 yen in total. Shinobu takes Kosaku to their safe upstairs, where they keep a mere 100,000 yen.
Kosaku hesitates to open the safe, then decides to go back to the proprietor and tries to talk to him. Furious, he evicts the Kawajiri family, but Killer Queen suddenly appears behind him. It blasts the proprietor's briefcase's lock and steals 500,000 yen out of it, which Kosaku gives back while pretending to be paying for the last two months and also the following two. The proprietor goes away feeling satisfied, and Shinobu has witnessed the theft, unaware of how her husband stole the money. The boldness of the act causes Shinobu to begin developing romantic feelings for Kosaku Kawajiri, who is, in reality, Yoshikage Kira.
