All-Star Battle R ★ Leone Abbacchio
Leone Abbacchio (レオーネ・アバッキオ, Reōne Abakkio), along with Moody Blues, was confirmed for All-Star Battle R as the first DLC character for the game's Season Pass 2, as well as the fifth paid DLC character overall, on August 18, 2023.[1] He released on August 30, 2023 for Season Pass 2 owners and is slated to release for everyone else on September 1.[2] He is included in the game's second season pass, and consequently the Ultimate Edition as well.[1]
Having neither previously appeared in All-Star Battle nor Eyes of Heaven as a playable character, Abbacchio has an original moveset based on his appearance in Vento Aureo.
In the English version of All-Star Battle R, Abbacchio's Stand, Moody Blues, is localized as "Moody Jazz", carried on from its first official usage in All-Star Battle.[4]
As the voice actor of Abbacchio for the Golden Wind anime, Junichi Suwabe reprises his role in All-Star Battle R as well.
Gameplay
Abbacchio has 950 health and uses the Stand (スタンド, Sutando) Battle Style, fighting foes with Moody Blues. During a fight, he can use several different attacks that were featured in Vento Aureo.

While in User Mode, Moody Blues will passively record and store the last User Mode skill Abbacchio performs. When he performs another skill, the Stand is automatically summoned to "replay" the recorded skill immediately after Abbacchio's own attack, taking Abbacchio's form in the process. This results in each inputted skill executing two attacks in succession: the inputted one by Abbacchio followed by the recorded one by Moody Blues, allowing for a variety of different attack combinations. The recorded skill will also copy the exact (//) variant inputted. In the case of Abbacchio performing a skill for the first time in a round, Moody Blues will simply Replay that same skill as its own follow-up.
However, if Abbacchio is struck before or during Moody Blues performing its attack, the Replayed skill will fail. Replay will also not trigger if Abbacchio Flash Cancels a skill, though said skill will still be recorded and overwrite the previously recorded skill.

Moody Blues moves forward and unleashes a barrage of punches, sending the opponent flying on the final hit. The amount of hits increases in order, inversely affecting the Stand's recovery speed. Although this is a punch rush-style of attack, Abbacchio cannot actually initiate Rush Mode, and a similar move by other opponents will easily overpower Moody Blues. This is a Stand Rush skill that Abbacchio can disconnect from to freely act while it is executing. (Flash Cancel comboable)

When fighting against either Narancia and/or Mista themselves, if the opponent has chosen the default color palette, the character(s) that help Abbacchio will appear with a different color palette, not unlike in a mirror match. If Abbacchio has one of the two as his Assist, they will instead use the palette the player chose for them.

Dialogue
Prior to his release as a DLC fighter, Abbacchio already had a few Tag Lines (プレイヤーカード名言, Pureiyā Kādo Meigen). They can be unlocked by completing 210 Secret Missions in All-Star Battle Mode.
- “Let's drink some tea and have a nice chat, eh? (お茶でも飲んで…話でもしようや………)”
- “My Stand will solve the mystery! (オレのスタンドで『謎』を解くッ!)”
- “Get on that bus... Yes, it's coming back to me... That's right! (あのバスに乗るんだ…思いだしてきた…そうだ!!)”
- “Yeah, but you know, once upon a time, I had nowhere to live and no place to go, too. (しかしだ…………オレももともとよォ~、行く所や居場所なんてどこにもなかった男だ…)”
- “I can replay all those memories! (記録を全て「
再生 」する!)”
Notably, in the English version of the game, Abbacchio's pre-DLC Tag Lines are under the name "Leone", whereas the ones added in his DLC release are under the name "Abbacchio". The following were added after his release as a DLC character:
- “How old are you? (あんた年いくつ?)”
- “My Stand replays everything. We'll be able to see everything from Narancia's sweat to his pulse. (俺のスタンドは記録を全て「再生 (リプレイ)」する! ナランチャがかいている「汗」も脈拍までも全て見れるッ!)”
- “We figured out the enemy's ability. (『敵の能力』の正体は解けたな……)”
- “I'm resuming Moody Blues's replay! (「ムーディー・ブルース」の「
再生 」を続行するぜッ!)” - “We can't defeat the enemy if we don't chase him, Bucciarati!
- “Listen up. Our mission is to get the key and safely get that girl to the boss! (いいか。オレたちの任務は「
鍵 」を取って娘を安全にボスのところまで護衛する事だ)” - “I want to save Fugo as much as you do, but getting that key is paramount right now!
I'm not letting him have that key! I swear on my pride and my dignity that I, Leone Abbacchio, will protect this key! (
- “The only time I'm ever at ease is when I'm with you, Bucciarati.
- “I need to get moving... I have to get back to my team! (もう行かなくては………………オレは仲間のところに戻らなくては……!!!)”
