All-Star Battle R ★ Wamuu
Wamuu (ワムウ, Wamū) was confirmed for All-Star Battle R during the game's initial announcement trailer.[1] He was also 1 of 15 playable characters during the Evo 2022 Demo in August 5.[3]
Although his moveset remains fundamentally the same as his from All-Star Battle, a few tweaks have been made to both balance the character and fit him into the overall gameplay changes that All-Star Battle R brought.
As Wamuu's one and only voice actor, debuting in the Battle Tendency anime and the original All-Star Battle, Akio Otsuka reprises his role in this game as well. As with the majority of the game's roster, voice lines for Wamuu were either added or re-recorded.
Gameplay
Wamuu has 950 health and uses the Mode (モード, Mōdo) Style, which allows him to toggle use of his unique Mode at any time during battle, at the cost of draining his Heart Heat Gauge. Furthermore, as a Pillar Man, part of the damage Wamuu receives from non-Ripple attacks is automatically converted into recoverable gray health.

While the skill can pull an opponent from any distance, if they are far enough away, they will recovery from the initial pull before they reach Wamuu, allowing for them to possibly punish him as the move cannot be Flash Canceled.

Wamuu's first ten Taunt and Victory Lines are included in his Taunt and Victory Poses respectively, with two lines per pose; the first two poses of each type are unlocked by default, while the other three of each must be purchased for 450 G each. The remaining lines of both types can be purchased as a single set for 300 G. Wamuu's Tag Lines can be purchased as a set for 140 G.

Special Interactions
- Besides Heart Heat Attacks and Great Heat Attacks, the only projectiles in the game that can hit Wamuu while his "Vapor Barrier" is active are Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli's "Bubble Cutter" and "Gliding Bubble Cutter" skills.
- When hit by Giorno Giovanna's Heart Heat Attack, Wamuu's pained expression resembles his at the moment when Joseph Joestar lands a second successful attack on him.[4]
- When hit by Enrico Pucci's "It's an illusion." skill, Wamuu's neck and arms go limp, referencing his pose after Joseph destroys his wrists.[5]
- When summoned as an Assist by Esidisi or Kars ("Lord Kars!"), Wamuu calls out his ally's name.

Wamuu's theme is A True Warrior (真の格闘者, Shin no Kakutōsha), and can be unlocked in-game by landing the "Cat Stance" skill as Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli in All-Star Battle Mode's Caesar vs. Wamuu Boss Battle.
Its name is taken from the original title of Chapter 57 of Battle Tendency in its Weekly Shonen Jump and tankōbon releases, A True Warrior.
