Kiss of Love and Revenge, Part 1 (愛と復讐のキッス その①, Ai to Fukushū no Kissu Sono 1), originally Ermes's Past (エルメェスの過去, Erumesu no Kako) in the WSJ release, is the fifty-first chapter of Stone Ocean and the six hundred forty-fifth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.

Summary

Due to being in possession of Atroe's corpse, the other inmates often bully F.F. In order to stop this, F.F. decides to do the opposite of what Atroe would do: drinking tea rather than coffee, using sauce instead of salt, and eating salmon instead of pork. People continue to cut F.F., but, by letting them all cut, the inmates eventually get into a fight, allowing Jolyne and F.F. to get their food. Jolyne asks F.F. if she knows where Ermes is.

F.F., stunned she didn't already know, tells Jolyne that Ermes intentionally went to prison. She explains that Ermes had a sister named Gloria. Gloria had inherited her father's restaurant, which she ran with Ermes. As the latter didn't want to run the restaurant, she ran out one night. Gloria went out to look for her, but accidentally witnessed a murder. She didn't want to get involved, but to protect Ermes, she had to call the police. Weeks later, Gloria's corpse was found in the gutter.

The killer's name was Sports Maxx, but the lack of evidence meant he was only charged with tax evasion and inflicting bodily harm on another; a sentence of five years tops. Soon after, Ermes's father died and she lost the restaurant. Having nothing left but anger and sorrow, Ermes purposely entered the prison that Sports Maxx was being held in, plotting revenge. Ermes awaits in the chapel, watching Sports Maxx as he speaks with Pucci.
