I, Jotaro Kujo, will end you myself.[2] (てめーはこの空条承太郎がじきじにブチのめす)
—Chapter 180: High Priestess, Part 2

Jotaro Kujo (空条 承太郎 , Kūjō Jōtarō) was confirmed for All-Star Battle R during the game's initial announcement trailer,[1] being the second character to appear after Jolyne Cujoh. He was one of the four characters playable in the game's first Early Access Demo[3] alongside Jonathan Joestar, DIO, and Jolyne. He was also 1 of 15 playable characters during the Evo 2022 Demo on August 5.[4] He is part of the game's current demo alongside Joseph, Jolyne, DIO, and Yoshikage Kira.

His moveset is fundamentally the same as his from All-Star Battle, with a few tweaks being made to both balance the character and fit him into the overall gameplay tweaks that All-Star Battle R brought.

As Jotaro's voice actor for over the past few years, debuting in All-Star Battle and later voicing him in the Stardust Crusaders anime, Daisuke Ono reprises his role as Jotaro's voice actor in this game too. As with the majority of the game's roster, voicelines for Jotaro were either added or re-recorded.

Costumes

Like the rest of the roster currently featured in their anime adaptation of their Part, Jotaro, by default, sports the outfit that he wears in the Stardust Crusaders anime adaptation. The colors of his clothes and Stand have been changed to match the anime.

As part of the Digital Deluxe Edition[5] of the game, Jotaro – as with Jonathan, Joseph, Josuke and Giorno – receives an exclusive costume based on his white outfit in the JOESTAR The Inherited Soul event.

Moveset Changes

Jotaro uses the Stand (スタンド, Sutando) Battle Style, fighting foes with Star Platinum.

The following movelists only include Jotaro's new and updated moves from All-Star Battle R. For the rest of his moveset, see his All-Star Battle section.

Jotaro jumps into the enemy, punching them with Star Platinum, knocking them back. He then de-summons his Stand and poses before jumping back off-screen.

Updated Moves

Basic Moves
Standing Heavy Attack (Stand ON)
ASBH.png ON GROUND

The attack's animation has been swapped with "ORAAAA!"; It is now a hefty downwards punch with slightly more range than before.

Crouching Heavy Attack (Stand ON)
ASBH.png ON GROUND

The attack now hits twice and only inflicts basic hitstun rather than tripping the opponent.

Jumping Medium Attack (Stand ON)
ASBM.png IN AIR OK

The attack now knocks the opponent upwards.

Specials
I stopped time...
ASBDPad2.pngx2 + ASBS.png ON GROUND

This special now executes drastically slower, giving Jotaro's opponent more time to interrupt him and making it more difficult to successfully stop time. However, it executes drastically faster if he has a full three stocks of Heart Heat when performing it, comparable to its speed in the original All-Star Battle.

ORAAAA!
ASBDPad6.png + ASBH.png

The attack's animation has swapped with Stand ON standing Heavy attack; It is now an uppercut that knocks the opponent off their feet.

Skills
ORA, ORA! (Stand OFF)
ASBDPad2.pngASBDPad3.pngASBDPad6.png + ASBL.png/ASBM.png/ASBH.png

Star Platinum now advances forward while attacking depending on the attack button input. Its fists have noticeably less reach, reducing the effective range of the attack. Also, the final punch no longer sends the opponent flying, instead inflicting simple stagger that leaves the opponent standing and able to quickly recover.

Here's your receipt!

Jotaro now gains invulnerability during the attack's start-up period if Medium (ASBM.png) or Heavy (ASBH.png) is inputted.

My STAND will be the judge!

The attack speed and distance differences across the attack button inputs are more pronounced, with Light (ASBL.png) now only being a close-ranged attack delivered quickly.

ORA, ORA! (Stand ON)

Star Platinum now advances forward while attacking depending on the attack button input. The amount of punches delivered can now be increased by repeatedly tapping an attack button. Star Platinum's fists have noticeably less reach, reducing the effective range of the attack.

ORAAA!
ASBDPad6.png + ASBL.png/ASBM.png/ASBH.png

The input for this follow-up skill has been changed, simplifying the execution required to perform it.

Star Finger

The attack button inputted now determines the skill's damage and speed. This skill executes much faster, making it more difficult for an opponent to react. The attack now has the added effect of knocking the opponent towards Jotaro with a much higher launching effect, rather than straight upwards. Finally, the recovery of this skill has been lessened dramatically.

Beat in a single breath!

Jotaro now has an armor effect during the start-up portion of this skill. The force of the vacuum effect is now determined by the attack button inputted.

  • The speed differences across the attack button inputs are more pronounced, with Light (ASBL.png) executing much quicker.
Heart Heat Attack
ORA ORA ORA ORA!

The second to last hit during the extended version of attack now launches the opponent a small distance upwards, allowing the final hit to land even if a juggled opponent is particularly low to the ground.
This prevents a scenario where the opponent is able to hit the ground (if they're airborne) or even recover from hitstun fast enough to put up their guard (if they're standing) just before the final strike lands, causing it to miss and in the latter case, potentially leave Jotaro open to retaliation.
