Hol Horse and Boingo, Part 1 (ホル・ホースとボインゴ その①, Horu Hōsu to Boingo Sono 1), originally The Birth of a New Combo (新コンビ誕生, Shin Konbi Tanjō) in the WSJ release, is the one hundred fourth chapter of Stardust Crusaders and the two hundred seventeenth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.

Summary

Hol Horse arrives at an airport in Cairo, after a short trip to Aswan. Hol Horse carries his briefcase over to a taxi where he gets harassed by two thugs. He shoots the thugs with Emperor and enters the taxi. Hol Horse opens the briefcase, revealing a bound and gagged Boingo along with his Stand, Tohth. Hol Horse explains that he had to kidnap Boingo due to his unwillingness to come along. With Oingo still hospitalized and J. Geil dead, Hol Horse and Boingo must team up to defeat the Joestar group. Hol Horse takes the tape off of Boingo's mouth, who then proceeds to vomit all over Hol Horse.

Later in the desert, Hol Horse questions Tohth's predictions. He's led to further disbelief when Tohth shows Hol Horse kicking a woman, who proceeds to pay him greatly for his services. Boingo explains that his predictions are one hundred percent accurate, but Hol Horse can't believe this stating that he would never hit a woman, no matter what. As he says this, a beautiful looking woman passes by alongside a strong looking bodyguard. Despite his protests, Hol Horse proceeds to run up to the woman and kick her in the back, knocking her down. The man finds the deadly scorpion on the woman's back, which Hol Horse had killed with his kick. The woman gives Hol Horse her jewelry as thanks, allowing Hol Horse to appreciate the power of Tohth. Together Hol Horse and Boingo, Emperor and Tohth, are completely invincible.

Notes

  1. The author's note for Chapter 217 has a typo. The word arawareru (現われる) ("to appear") is given the furigana "arawawareru" (あらわわれる), which includes an extra "wa" ().
