Iggy (イギー, Igī) was confirmed to return for All-Star Battle R during the game's initial announcement trailer.[1] He was also 1 of 15 playable characters during the Evo 2022 Demo in August 5.[3]
His moveset is fundamentally the same as his from All-Star Battle, with a few tweaks being made to both balance the character and fit him into the overall gameplay tweaks that All-Star Battle R brought.
Replacing Shigeru Chiba, Misato Fukuen reprises her role as Iggy's voice actress from the Stardust Crusaders anime adaptation. As with the majority of the game's roster, voicelines for Iggy were either added or re-recorded.
Iggy has 800 health and uses the Stand (スタンド, Sutando) Battle Style, fighting foes with The Fool. During a fight, he can use several different attacks that were featured in Stardust Crusaders.
Unlike the rest of the roster, when his stand is not summoned, Iggy takes chip damage from normal attacks and cannot recover his guard gauge. When combined with his small health pool, it can make blocking extremely punishing. Also unique to Iggy is his ability to automatically escape universal throws at the cost of white health.

Style/Specials/Etc. [Stand Off] (スタイル/特殊技/その他)
Hang Glider
/ (Hold to extend duration) IN AIR OK
Because Iggy jumps higher than he did in All-Star Battle, he can glide slightly longer than he could before, meaning he travels slightly farther.
Aerial Chain Beat
// IN AIR OK
This special is new to All-Star Battle R.
You callin' me tiny?!
Passive
When Iggy is thrown, he will still automatically deflect it, but he will now take damage in the form of white health.
Skills [Stand Off] (コマンド技)
A "nasty" habit
+ // ON GROUND IN AIR OK
Iggy leaps forward a much greater distance than he did in All-Star Battle. When used in the air, the attack now becomes a Middle rather than staying a High. Additionally, the attack now crumples the opponent when it connects, allowing Iggy to combo after successfully landing this skill. However, it no longer has invulnerability on startup, meaning it no longer works well as a reversal.
DIO Doppelganger
+ // ON GROUND
The Fool's DIO Doppelganger will no longer attack twice unless the variant is used, and when it is, the first attack is now a High rather than a Middle. This also means that the first attack now launches opponents, that way, all variants will still launch. However, because of this, the variant launches the opponent twice, with the first attack launching them at a steep upward angle while the second launches them away from Iggy into a hard knockdown. Additionally, the DIO Doppelganger's first attack deals more hits, with it dealing two for the and variants, and three for the variant. All these changes result in the attack dealing varying damage now based on the attack button inputted rather than staying the same across all variants. The Doppelganger's forward travel distance also now varies based on the attack button inputted rather than staying the same.
Normals [Stand On] (通常技)
Standing Heavy Attack
ON GROUND
The Fool now moves forward before swinging its legs down, giving this attack more range.
Style/Specials/Etc. [Stand On] (スタイル/特殊技/その他)
Hang Glider
(Hold to extend duration) IN AIR OK
When Iggy cancels a normal attack with this special, he can now use another normal after it.

Skills [Stand On] (コマンド技)
The Fool
+ // ON GROUND
The Fool does not travel as far as it did in All-Star Battle, but it returns to Iggy much quicker now. It also deals an increasing number of hits and amount of damage based on what attack button is inputted. Furthermore, the variant now causes a groundbounce on hit instead of only a soft knockdown.
Get outta here!
+ // ON GROUND
When hit by this skill, opponents are now knocked into the air instead of to the ground, making it possible to combo off a successful hit. The number of hits also now increases based on what attack button is inputted. Additionally, this skill can now be Stand Rushed.
Too easy!
+ // ON GROUND
Instead of being a counter that remains active until it is triggered or otherwise deactivated, it is a counter that stays active for a set amount of time. As such, Iggy is no longer able to act while the skill is active and will instead strike a pose for the duration. It also means that the counter can no longer be triggered while Iggy is airborne.
Ha ha, sucker!
Activates when "Too easy!" is successfully triggered
This counterattack now deals damage and leaves Iggy in Stand Mode rather than User Mode.
Heart Heat Attack / Great Heat Attack (HHA / GHA)
Surround 'em!
+ 2 ATK Buttons
ON GROUND WHEN DOWNED
When the attack is whiffed, Iggy's forward momentum will continue until he hits the stage wall or is otherwise stopped by the opponent instead of stopping once The Fool, along with the hitbox, disappears. His momentum is enough that if the opponent does not hit Iggy to stop his momentum, he will push them to the stage wall. This does not change his recovery time.
General Changes
Iggy's run speed in Stand Mode has been decreased.
The player's health is decreased. The opponent's health continuously refills.

Iggy's Stand. It takes the form of a sand monster. By its very nature, it cannot suffer physical damage. It has all kinds of useful functions, such as being able to turn into a glider or a dome, being highly versatile as a result.
