Wheel of Fortune (1), originally Passing Towards Death in the WSJ release, is the one hundred fiftieth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. It is also the thirty-seventh chapter of Stardust Crusaders.
Summary
The Joestar group is driving through the Northern Part of India approaching Pakistan with Polnareff as their driver. They come across a car in front of them, which Polnareff overtakes and bounces rocks at tauntingly. He's scolded by Joseph for being a reckless driver, as they need to avoid attracting attention. Joseph is wanted for murder in the city of Varanashi, which is his reasoning. Kakyoin mentions they will soon leave India, and Polnareff tells him he will come back to give Avdol a proper tombstone.
On the road, they encounter the girl who has been following them since Singapore, and she jumps in their car, ignoring everyone's complaints about her presence. She tries to bribe her way into the group with stolen pornographic pictures, but they still insist that she should not go with them. Jotaro, bothered by the noise, tells everyone to shut up and give her plane tickets back to Hong Kong.
Moments later, they encounter the car from before, which now seems to be in a hurry, so Polnareff lets it overtake him. Suddenly, the driver slows down, leaving everyone wondering if he's a Stand user. The driver lets Polnareff overtake him again, tricking him into accelerating and almost colliding with a truck, but Jotaro uses Star Platinum to reduce the damage from the accident. The group tries to get a glimpse of the driver, but they only manage to see his muscular arm.
