I can replay all those memories![3] (記録を全て「再生」する!)
Leone Abbacchio (レオーネ・アバッキオ, Reōne Abakkio), along with Moody Blues, was confirmed for All-Star Battle R as the first DLC character for the game's Season Pass 2, as well as the fifth paid DLC character overall, on August 18, 2023.[1] He is slated for release on August 30, 2023, or September 1 for season pass owners.[2] He is included in the game's second season pass, and consequently the Ultimate Edition as well.[1]
Having neither previously appeared in All-Star Battle nor Eyes of Heaven as a playable character, Abbacchio has an original moveset based on his appearance in Vento Aureo.
In the English version of All-Star Battle R, Abbacchio's Stand, Moody Blues, is localized as "Moody Jazz", carried on from its first official usage in All-Star Battle.[4]
Abbacchio has 950 health and uses the Stand (スタンド, Sutando) Battle Style, fighting foes with Moody Blues. During a fight, he can use several different attacks that were featured in Vento Aureo.
Switches between User Mode and Stand Mode. Abbacchio can summon or dismiss Moody Blues, altering his available abilities.
Replay
Passive
While in User Mode, Moody Blues will passively record the last skill Abbacchio performs (this applies to all User Mode skills). When he performs another skill, the Stand is automatically summoned to "replay" the recorded skill immediately after Abbacchio's own attack, taking Abbacchio's form in the process. This results in each inputted skill executing two attacks in succession: the inputted one by Abbacchio followed by the recorded one by Moody Blues, allowing for a variety of different attack combinations. The recorded skill will also copy the exact (//) variant inputted. In the case of Abbacchio performing a skill for the first time in a round, Moody Blues will simply Replay that same skill as its own follow-up.
However, if Abbacchio is struck while Moody Blues is performing its skill, the Replayed skill will fail. Replay will also not trigger if Abbacchio Flash Cancels a skill, though said skill will still be recorded and overwrite the previously recorded skill.
Resolve Mode (覚悟モード, Kakugo Mōdo)
Activates when under 20% health
This mode is automatically activated once Abbacchio falls below 20% health. It increases his attack power, as well as the rate at which the Heart Heat Gauge rises. He also gains super armor during the start up of all his normal attacks and skills.
Skills [Stand Off] (コマンド技)
I was going to beat the shit out of you.
+ // ON GROUND
A "Replay"-compatible skill. Abbacchio lunges forward a distance and delivers a heavy overhand punch, shoving the opponent back upon connecting. The distance forward Abbacchio travels and the damage dealt increases in order, inversely affecting Abbacchio's recovery. (Flash Cancel comboable)
Attack type: High
Shut your mouth!
+ // ON GROUND
A "Replay"-compatible skill. Abbacchio throws a straight uppercut, sending the opponent flying on-hit. If or is inputted, Abbacchio will slide a distance forward before throwing the uppercut, the variant traveling further and carrying a second hit. However, his recovery speed is inversely affected. Although an anti-air, it lacks any invulnerability that would make it suitable as a reversal. (Flash Cancel comboable)
Attack type: High
Arrogant little snot.
+ // ON GROUND
A "Replay"-compatible skill. Abbacchio drops low to the ground while delivering a wide, spinning leg sweep. If it connects, the opponent is knocked off their feet into a hard knockdown. The forward distance traveled and damage dealt increase in order, inversely affecting Abbacchio's recovery speed. (Flash Cancel comboable)
Attack type: Low
Destroy the enemy!
+ // ON GROUND WHEN DOWNED
A "Replay"-compatible skill. Abbacchio hops into the air and comes down in a powerful stomp as he lands, bouncing the opponent off the ground. If Replayed by Moody Blues, the Stand's stomp will simply knock them down. The forward distance Abbacchio jumps and the damage dealt increase in order, inversely affecting his recovery speed. This attack can strike a downed opponent. (Flash Cancel comboable)
Attack type: Middle
Stop talking back to me, you little shit!
+ // ON GROUND
A "Replay"-compatible skill. Abbacchio slides forward with his arm raised before throwing a strong hook punch using the other, causing the opponent to crumple on-hit. The distance he travels increases in order, but the greater the increase, the more vulnerable he becomes. If or is inputted, Abbacchio gains a brief Guard Point effect during the beginning portion of the skill, protecting him from non-Throw/unblockable attacks. (Comboable)
Attack type: High
Style/Specials/Etc. [Stand On] (スタイル/特殊技/その他)
Stand On/Off (スタンドON/OFF, Sutando ON/OFF)
ON GROUND
Switches between User Mode and Stand Mode. Abbacchio can summon or dismiss Moody Blues, altering his available abilities.
There it is. That's it.
+ ON GROUND
Abbacchio and Moody Blues dash forward while low to the ground, covering moderate distance. During the dash, Abbacchio is invincible to all non-Throw attacks, and if used close enough to the opponent, he can pass through them to their other side.
Skills [Stand On] (コマンド技)
Ryaaaah!
+ // ON GROUND
Moody Blues moves forward and unleashes a barrage of punches, sending the opponent flying on the final hit. The amount of hits increases in order, inversely affecting Abbacchio's recovery speed. This is a Stand Rush skill that Abbacchio can disconnect from to freely act while it is executing. (Flash Cancel comboable)
Attack type: High
I'll get you!
+ // ON GROUND
A command throw. Moody Blues shifts forward and swings its hand. If it successfully grabs the opponent, it will punch them to the ground as Abbacchio kicks them twice while they're down, the second kick sending them flying. The distance Moody Blues moves and the damage dealt increases in order, inversely affecting Abbacchio's recovery speed.
Attack type: Throw
Come, Moody Blues!
+ // ON GROUND
A command throw. Moody Blues spreads its arms out, and after a short delay, rushes a distance forward in a grab. If it connects, it'll knee the opponent in the gut twice before releasing them standing. The distance Moody Blues moves and the damage dealt increases in order, inversely leaving the Stand more vulnerable as it travels farther. This skill has a follow-up.
Attack type: Throw
Move.
(During "Come, Moody Blues!") // or + // ON GROUND
After its attack, Moody Blues winds up to deliver a finishing blow. The attack performed is dependent on the input. This is a Stand Rush skill that Abbacchio can disconnect from to freely act while it is executing.
//: Moody Blues finishes with an overhead punch in a middle attack that cannot be blocked crouching, bouncing the opponent off the ground. (Flash Cancel comboable)
+ //: Moody Blues finishes with a kick that sweeps the opponent's feet in a low attack that cannot be blocked standing, knocking them down for moderate damage. (Flash Cancel comboable)

ON GROUND
Stating that the opponent gets an "exclusive viewing", Abbacchio steps forward and throws a strong hook while he glows with a blueish-green aura. If it connects, he will proceed to kick the opponent in the gut to knock them into the air before uppercutting them. He will then summon Moody Blues to replay his three strikes while he walks away. The final uppercut Moody Blues throws is given extra wind-up and sends the opponent flying into the air.
Attack type: High
You an enemy?! Huh?! Well, are you? An enemy?!

ON GROUND
Abbacchio strikes a pose and turns as Narancia suddenly appears from behind him to throw a punch, asking if they're a bad guy. If the punch connects, it will knock the opponent down and cause them to bump into the back of Mista's foot. Turning around, Mista angrily asks who they are. Narancia threatens to kill them before the two begin stomping on the opponent mercilessly. Seeing this, Abbacchio takes a moment to sigh before suddenly joining in on the beatdown. The three allies stomping the helpless opponent, Abbacchio finishes the assault by letting out a cry and throwing one last kick to send them flying. All three of them look on with varying levels of worry as Abbacchio questions if their attack was excessive. Narancia, who appears the most nervous, comments that the situation is bad before he jumps back off-screen.

A one-stock assist. Abbacchio lands in and slides forward with his arm raised before throwing a strong hook punch using the other, with Moody Blues appearing as him and Replaying the attack in succession Abbacchio has a brief Guard Point effect during the beginning portion of the skill, protecting him from non-Throw/unblockable attacks.
Abbacchio appears as the guide character for the Shop & Gallery Mode's Sound Test (サウンドテスト, Saundo Tesuto).
When viewing the BGM List or Voice List sub-modes, Abbacchio is shown with his Stand, Moody Blues. By default, the bar on Moody Blues's head is green, but glows when an audio track is played. Onomatopoeia also surround the duo when audio is playing.

Abbacchio's theme is I Swear on My Pride and My Dignity (「誇り」と「面子」にかけて…, Puraido to mentsu ni kakete…), and is automatically unlocked when purchasing Leone Abbacchio's DLC.
