Parallel World Diego (並行世界から来たディエゴ, Heikō Sekai kara Kita Diego), along with THE WORLD, was confirmed for All-Star Battle R as the fourth paid DLC character on May 31, 2023.[1] He is slated for release on June 16, 2023, or June 14 for season pass owners.[2] Like the first three paid DLC characters, he is included in the game's first season pass, and consequently the Digital Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition as well.[1]
As in Eyes of Heaven, Parallel Diego's name is localized as "Alternate World Diego" in the English localization of All-Star Battle R. Furthermore, THE WORLD's name is fully capitalized, differentiating it from DIO's version of The World.
His moveset is similar to that of his Eyes of Heaven appearance, with modifications made and new aspects added to better fit in with All-Star Battle R's different gameplay style.
As the voice actor for Parallel World Diego, among other iterations of Dio Brando, since Eyes of Heaven, Takehito Koyasu reprises his role in All-Star Battle R as well. As with the majority of the game's roster, voice lines for Parallel World Diego were either added or re-recorded.
Parallel World Diego has 920 health and uses the both the Mounted (騎乗, Kijō) and Stand (スタンド, Sutando) Battle Styles, fighting foes with Silver Bullet and THE WORLD. During a fight, he can use several different attacks that were featured in Steel Ball Run. Unlike most other characters that use the Stand Battle Style, Parallel World Diego cannot manually summon and dismiss his Stand; instead, the Stand remains active as long as the user is dismounted, and appears instantaneously for any attacks that utilize it while the user is mounted.
Three parts of the Holy Corpse will slowly appear scattered across the stage when Parallel World Diego is a combatant. He can pick up these pieces to receive blessings that boost his performance in combat. If Parallel World Diego is pitted against Johnny Joestar, Gyro Zeppeli, Diego Brando, Funny Valentine, or another Parallel World Diego, both players will have to fight over the three Corpse Parts, as only one set will appear.

Mounting
ON GROUND
Parallel World Diego can summon his horse, Silver Bullet, to mount it, or dismount and send it away while summoning THE WORLD, shifting his movement and available abilities. Silver Bullet improves his basic mobility, attack range, and power. However, he loses the ability to Stylish Guard and will be forcibly dismounted if he is hit by a move that hard knockdowns. To note, Parallel Diego's Guard Gauge will not regenerate while he is Mounted unless he is in possession of all three Holy Corpse parts.
If the Style input () is chained from normals while unmounted, 'Quick Mount' is triggered at the cost of Heart Heat, whereby Parallel Diego mounts Silver Bullet much faster, and the act of flipping onto his horse can knock the opponent into the air. This provides an easy and quicker method of mounting as well as transitioning Diego's unmounted combo into a mounted one.
THE WORLD!

If Parallel Diego has a minimum of one and a half stocks of the Heart Heat Gauge, he can use his Stand's signature ability, "THE WORLD!". If the lengthy start-up animation completes, Parallel Diego will stop time for 3.4 ~ 6.9 seconds depending on how much of the HHG he has; The ability normally takes several seconds to activate and leaves Parallel Diego especially vulnerable to being interrupted, but executes drastically faster if he has a full three stocks of Heart Heat when performing it.
All animations, including the HHG flame and the countdown on the battle timer, will temporarily cease, and the opponent is frozen in place and completely unable to act. Damage dealt to the opponent that is not a Throw or HHA is reduced, but the opponent is otherwise absolutely vulnerable. When the ability ends and time resumes, the opponent will suffer all damage dealt to them at once.
Any projectiles unleashed through Parallel Diego's various abilities will hang in the air (knives thrown via "I'll skewer you!", the jerrycan tossed via "My trial is to conquer and kill at all costs.", and the lit matches thrown via "This is where the fun begins..."), notably doing more damage if they hit the opponent after time resumes than if they were to have connected immediately. Parallel Diego may use his HHA with impunity if he has enough Heart Heat to do so. He is even capable of hitting opponents that were down when the ability was activated, 'resetting' them into a standing position once hit. The ability is best used with normal attacks in mind in order to deal the most damage within the stopped time, as they execute quickly and their damage reduction within stopped time is insubstantial.
If Parallel Diego's Throw or HHA is used, time will immediately resume with the HHG drained to zero; As his GHA requires Silver Bullet, it is unavailable in stopped time.
If fighting against DIO or either version of Jotaro, Parallel Diego can use this ability to begin moving within the opposing fighter's stopped time, and may even outlast his opponent if their Heart Heat depletes before his.

Parallel Diego tosses an open jerrycan of gasoline into the air in an arc. Upon the jerrycan reaching the peak of its arc, the gasoline is spilled onto the floor directly below, where it is left as a puddle for a period of time.
The action of tossing the jerrycan is a melee strike that can knock the opponent into the air. The jerrycan itself can collide directly with the opponent for a small amount of damage while launching them slightly, allowing the skill to function as an anti-air attack. The attack button inputted determines how far the jerrycan is lobbed. (Flash Cancel comboable)
If the opponent is caught under the gasoline spillage or steps in the puddle, they are then doused in it, inflicted with Gasoline. This is indicated by the brownish liquid splashing off their body and an icon under their character portrait. This is true even if they are downed when the gasoline makes contact. However, if Parallel Diego is attacked by them, any gasoline puddles and the Gasoline effect will be nullified and disappear prematurely. The gasoline itself may also be 'blocked', preventing affliction.

Parallel Diego jumps a short distance backward while throwing a spread of lit matches forward. If the opponent is caught by the matches, they will take rapid damage and ignite. The matches can also strike a downed opponent. The amount of matches thrown and Parallel Diego's backward movement is determined by the attack button inputted. (Flash Cancel comboable)
If the opponent is afflicted with Gasoline, they will violently explode upon contact with the matches. If they are caught in the blast directly, even if they are downed when the matches hit them, they take heavy damage and are launched high into the air (Comboable). If the explosion is guarded, it will inflict an extreme amount of Guard Gauge damage equal to roughly 80% of the whole gauge, making this the highest Guard-damaging attack in the game. However, Parallel Diego may also be caught in the gasoline explosion if he is too close, causing him to flinch while taking a moderate amount of damage.
To note, only this skill will cause a Gasolined opponent to explode. Other fire-based sources such as various Assault Assists or certain characters' own self-inflicted damage will not trigger the explosion nor interact with the Gasoline effect in any way.
Using its ability, THE WORLD suddenly reappears at certain distances and sets a vertical barrier of barb wire as a short-lasting trap. If the opponent makes contact with it, the wire will wrap around them, briefly binding them and leaving them vulnerable to attack. The attack button inputted determines the distance forward that THE WORLD reappears to set the trap. (Comboable)
Only one barb wire trap may be active at a time, automatically disarming the previous one if the skill is performed again. However, if "THE WORLD!" is active, a second barb wire trap cannot be set while the first one is active.

Expending a stock of Heart Heat, Parallel Diego and Silver Bullet fortify themselves, indicated by a reddish aura emanating from the two. While active, Silver Bullet's movement speed is increased, and Parallel Diego gains a Super Armor effect for all of his Mounted normal attacks starting from activation to the end of their active portions. This effect will last indefinitely. However, Parallel Diego cannot generate Heart Heat normally while it is active.
This ability will deactivate upon Parallel Diego being Dismounted (either manually or by the opponent's attacks), initiating his HHA or GHA, or if it is inputted a second time, signified by him petting Silver Bullet to calm it down.

Light (): He reappears directly in front of the opponent and stabs forward with the knife at a low angle, causing them to crumple to the ground. This variation is a low attack that cannot be blocked standing. (Comboable)
Medium (): He reappears directly above the opponent in a descending slash to knock them down, hard enough for them to bounce. This variation is a middle attack that cannot be blocked crouching. (Comboable)

Parallel Diego's GHA can only be performed while Mounted, and will automatically summon Silver Bullet if used while Unmounted. Stating aloud that he has a plan, Diego has Silver Bullet lunge forward in a forceful full-body tackle. If it connects, the opponent is knocked back as Parallel Diego quickly jumps to the ground, summons THE WORLD, and stops time. Pulling out a revolver while his Stand advances toward the frozen opponent, he takes a bullet and roughly jams it against the hammer of the gun to imbue extra kinetic power into it. Loading the bullet and lifting the revolver up to eye level, he carefully takes aim at the opponent's head. Time resumes just as he fires the empowered shot and THE WORLD throws a hefty punch aimed at the opponent's face. A slow-motion shot of the opponent's shocked expression is shown, and the two attacks connect at the same time, completing the assault by blasting the opponent away.

A character in Part 7: Steel Ball Run. He is an alternate version of Diego Brando brought from another world by Valentine, and the user of the StandTHE WORLD. Having been informed about the infinite rotation from Valentine before his death, the jockey meticulously arranges a plan to overwhelm Johnny in the battle for the corpse. He can also be cold-blooded, even going so far as to use civilians as shields to evade attacks.
User of the Stand THE WORLD. An alternate version of Diego Brando brought by Valentine from another world. Valentine informed him about the Infinite Spin. His devious schemes caused great difficulty for Johnny in the battle for the corpse. He can be cold-blooded, even going so far as to use civilians as shields to evade attacks.
The Stand of Parallel World Diego. It can stop time for what feels like five seconds, and only Diego can move while time is stopped. This allows Diego to set up near-unavoidable attacks against his defenseless opponents, such as throwing knives at them and setting them on fire.
