Giorno makes his video game debut with the rest of Team Bucciarati as one of the main playable characters in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure. He is voiced by Romi Park.

Giorno's special attacks utilize his ability to create life: he can create a tree to knock down an enemy, a snake to bite them, or a frog to reflect an incoming attack. While his Stand is active, Giorno's Stand Shoot takes the form of Gold Experience's signature "Muda-muda!" barrage of punches.

In the final battle of Super Story Mode, Giorno wields Gold Experience Requiem. Gold Experience Requiem shares most of its attacks with Gold Experience, but foregoes the tree and vine attacks in favor of a long-range scorpion flick attack. Gold Experience Requiem is the only being immune to King Crimson's time erasure: if Diavolo erases time while Giorno is in Stand Mode, Gold Experience Requiem can attack at full speed even as Giorno continues to be slowed down.

Bucciarati makes his video game debut in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure as both a boss and a playable character. He is voiced by Takahiro Sakurai.

Bucciarati is the first enemy the player must face, appearing as an enemy in Chapters 1-1 and 1-2. As Chapter 1-1 mostly consists of a tutorial, Bucciarati has only half the health of a regular enemy. In Chapter 1-2, he first attempts to evade Giorno through the use of his zippers: at one of four places in the stage, Bucciarati can create a zipper and teleport to any of the other three. If he is dealt enough damage, he attempts to hide inside one of four civilians, requiring the player to find him in order to beat him. When he is fought directly as an enemy, his attack pattern primarily utilizes "My skills make you shiver, no?" and Stand Shoot attacks.

Although most of his moves are shared as a boss and a playable character, his zipper teleportation in Chapter 1-2 is exclusive to that stage. However, Bucciarati gains some new moves as a playable character: in Stand Mode, Bucciarati can cover large distances via a closing zipper, as well as temporarily disappear by traveling underground. During Chapter 11-2, the player plays as Bucciarati's soul in Diavolo's body; this unusual situation has no effect on his moveset.

Mista makes his video game debut as a playable character in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure. He is voiced by Kentaro Ito.

Mista is a unique character in the game, as he cannot use punches or pummeling attacks, save for a melee attack if he gets close to the enemy. His main method of attack is firing bullets from his gun, like in the manga. The cylinder of Mista's revolver appears at the bottom right of the screen, displaying how many bullets he has remaining: if Mista runs out of bullets, he must reload before he is able to shoot again. If at any time during a battle, Mista ends an attack with 4 bullets remaining, a unique line of dialogue depicting his agitation will play.

The heads of Mista's Sex Pistols are shown next to the revolver display: if Mista uses a special attack, a normal attack in Stand Mode, or a Stand Shoot, one of the Sex Pistols will ride the bullet. After the shot hits something, the Pistol will begin slowly returning to Mista. While Stand Mode is active, Mista's normal attack uses up one Sex Pistol in order to home in on the enemy. Charging a Stand Shoot loads more of Mista's available Pistols onto the bullet; if a Stand Shoot is used in Stand Mode, the Pistols linger around the enemy to deal additional damage with Mista's next shot.

Narancia makes his first video game appearance in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure, voiced by Fujiko Takamoto.

Narancia's normal attacks include knife swipes and kicks. "Take that! And that! And that!" can be used consecutively if the previous attack lands; Narancia will injure his foot on the seventh attack, though the injury only stuns him and does not affect the health gauge. Most of Narancia's moveset utilizes his Stand Aerosmith in order to shoot or bomb the enemy. When Narancia enters Stand Mode, the player takes control of Aerosmith and can move freely. Aerosmith's radar appears at the bottom-right corner of the screen, allowing the player to view the relative positions of enemies and other breathing organisms. Though Aerosmith is capable of inflicting heavy damage in Stand Mode, its use renders Narancia immobile and open for attack.

Abbacchio debuts as a playable character in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure. He is voiced by Tetsu Inada.

Abbacchio himself can only attack with regular punches and kicks, as most of his special attacks involve his Stand. In Normal Mode, Abbacchio's Stand Shoot is unique in that Moody Blues briefly pauses before delivering the attack; in Stand Mode, Moody Blues's Stand Shoot causes it to mirror Abbacchio's movements, with the attack lasting longer if charged up beforehand. Moody Blues can also grab the enemy and, if the player performs enough button presses, perform a barrage of punches before letting go.

Moody Blues's special ability in Normal Mode allows it to record Abbacchio's movements over a period of ten seconds. During recording, Moody Blues will remain motionless and open to attack, and Abbacchio will be unable to use any moves that involve his Stand. The recording will be stopped if the move is used again, or if either Abbacchio or Moody Blues takes damage. Regardless of whether the recording is completed, using the same move in Stand Mode will cause Moody Blues to replay the recorded inputs, creating opportunities for combos. The recording will remain "saved" until either Abbacchio begins recording again or the fight ends. If the playback move is used before recording any input, Moody Blues will deliver a single kick before returning to Abbacchio.

Fugo makes his first video game appearance in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure. He is voiced by Hiroaki Miura.

Fugo's regular moveset consists of lightweight attacks; in addition, he can use a special move that disperses the virus in a circle around Fugo, though this does not deplete Purple Haze's capsules. However, using the "Numbskull!" move causes Fugo to become enraged, changing his Normal Mode moveset entirely: Fugo uses heavier attacks, and his special move now disperses the virus in a straight line in front of him. Using the "Numbskull!" move again will restore Fugo's regular moveset.

Like Narancia, Fugo cannot move while in Stand Mode: the player takes direct control of Purple Haze. At the bottom right corner of the screen, Purple Haze's virus capsules are displayed, showing how many times Purple Haze can use the virus before he must use his refill ability. Purple Haze possesses powerful attacks, as well as a special move that allows it to throw a virus capsule at the enemy. If Purple Haze strays too far from its user, its compulsive tendency to clean itself will take over, and the Stand will be unable to move until it is recalled.

Trish makes her game debut as a playable character in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure. She is voiced by Natsuki Rio.

Trish is unique in that her Normal Mode moveset does not involve her Stand at all, referencing her Stand's late development in the original story. Trish is capable of performing a jumping kick, making her the only playable character than can jump freely without the aid of a ledge. She can also step on an enemy to stun them; if the enemy has been knocked down, the attack deals more damage.

While Spice Girl is active, Trish can push back and stun an attacking opponent by pressing PS Circle.png when the attack connects. Spice Girl's special attacks are a chop that bounces the enemy off the ground and a pole attack that functions similarly to Trish's stepping attack, though it cannot connect with downed enemies.

Polnareff appears as a playable character in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure, voiced by Akira Negishi. Being the only stage where he is playable in Super Story Mode, Chapter 11-1's music is an orchestrated version of his Heritage for the Future theme.

Having been disabled and confined to a wheelchair, Polnareff is forced to heavily rely upon Silver Chariot. All of his attacks use his Stand, and he requires Chariot's assistance even to get up after being knocked down; if the enemy triggers a Stand Crash, Polnareff will be unable to do either until the Stand Gauge refills. Polnareff retains his Million Spit and rapier launch attacks from Heritage for the Future, and he can also use Silver Chariot to perform an upward sword slash that propels the enemy into the air.

Black Sabbath makes its first video game appearance in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure, as a non-playable enemy character in Chapter 2-1. The player has two minutes to defeat Sabbath: if they fail to do so, the sun will set over the stage, and Sabbath will fatally stab the player character with its Stand Arrow. All of Black Sabbath's moves serve as means to grab the player character or their Stand. If the player is in the shadow, Sabbath can simply lunge at them; if the player is in the sunlight, the Stand must rely on moving crows to reach them. If Sabbath succeeds, it will stab the player's Stand with the Stand Arrow; the player will begin taking damage and must use the control stick and buttons on the controller to break loose.

Formaggio appears as an enemy character in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure during Chapter 3-1. During the fight, Formaggio alternates between attacking the player head-on and running away using his Stand, Little Feet. Formaggio can use Little Feet's ability on himself when hiding behind one of the cars in the stage to make himself smaller; in his small form, Formaggio can quickly move around the stage, hide on the underside of rats, use sewer grates as a method of transportation, and sneak up on the player in order to surprise attack them. Though he possesses various attacks such as throwing furniture and performing a headbutt, Formaggio's most dangerous attacks involve his Stand, Little Feet: if the player is cut by the Stand's sharp finger, they shrink to a minuscule size and must deal with a relatively-large Formaggio for fifteen seconds. While the player is shrunken, Formaggio can either stomp on them or grab and throw them, dealing heavy damage if either attack lands.

Illuso appears in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure as the enemy character faced in all three stages of Chapter 4. Illuso's attack pattern uses mirrors to move between the normal world and the mirror world, which is depicted as teleporting from mirror to mirror. Other than using Man in the Mirror to deliver punches, his main form of attack is to slash or throw mirror shards at the player. Illuso's most powerful attack utilizes Man in the Mirror to grab the player from behind and slit their throat, dealing substantial damage; this attack may be activated from any range, though it cannot be used while Illuso is in the normal world.

Prosciutto appears in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure during Chapter 5-1 of Super Story Mode as the main enemy, and during Chapter 5-2 as one of only two supporting enemies in the game (the other being Cioccolata in Chapter 10-1). Though Prosciutto can attack normally, all of his special attacks require Grateful Dead to be active; as a matter of fact, Prosciutto cannot withdraw Grateful Dead unless a Stand Break is triggered. Throughout the fight, the player character's health will slowly drain as long as Grateful Dead is active, and the effect can only be deactivated via either triggering a Stand Break on Prosciutto or attacking the ice dispenser in the stage. Grateful Dead can accelerate the aging process either by using more power, requiring it to stand still, or by grabbing the player directly.

In Chapter 5-2, a dying Prosciutto will activate Grateful Dead thirty seconds into the battle. Unlike in Chapter 5-1, Grateful Dead does not physically appear, and the only way to deactivate the effect is to Stand Shoot Prosciutto, putting him out of commission permanently.

In Super Story Mode, Pesci's first move once the battle begins is to hook Bucciarati before he or the player can react; this does not occur in Another Story Mode. Aside from a single melee attack if the player gets too close, Pesci's moveset relies upon him gaining distance between himself and the player in order to use Beach Boy. Pesci can send Beach Boy's lure through the ground to knock the player down, or send it through the air in either a straight line or a figure-eight shape to hook them instead. If caught, the player character will begin taking damage; the player must hold the left stick in the opposite direction of Beach Boy, to avoid Pesci knocking the player down and dealing heavy damage. If Pesci reels the player character close enough to him, he will perform a kick, dealing damage but also freeing them from the line.

Ghiaccio appears in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure as the enemy character faced in Chapters 6-1 and 6-2 of Super Story Mode.

Chapter 6-1 tasks the player with defending the car Giorno is driving from Ghiaccio for two minutes. The player must keep Ghiaccio from coming too close, as he will charge at the car to deal damage.

During Chapter 6-2, the player faces Ghiaccio in a traditional battle. Most attacks toward Ghiaccio will be blocked from the front, requiring the player to deliver them from behind him. Due to his skates, Ghiaccio cannot make slight turns and instead must turn in a wide trajectory to face his target: when his trajectory lines up with the player, Ghiaccio will charge at them. In addition, Ghiaccio can freeze the ground to create ice crystals, either as a short-range attack in six directions or as a long-range homing attack in one direction. Both of these attacks leave Ghiaccio open for a counterattack, unless Ghiaccio activates White Album Gently Weeps: while Gently Weeps is active, Ghiaccio can reflect bullets shot at him from any direction. Gently Weeps does not reflect Purple Haze's thrown capsules, Polnareff's sword launch attack, or any non-projectile attacks.

Diavolo appears in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure as the enemy faced in Chapters 7-1, 7-2, 11-1, and 11-3, making him the enemy fought the most times in the game. In battle, Diavolo uses King Crimson to chop, impale, blast, blind, and knock back his opponents. In Chapter 7-1, the player must survive for one minute, and in Chapters 7-2 and 11-1, they must deplete a very small portion of The Boss's health to survive the battle; in Chapter 11-1, the player must finally defeat Diavolo completely.

Diavolo appears as a shadowy figure in Chapters 7-1 and 7-2, his true identity unknown to Team Bucciarati. In these battles, his ability takes the form of teleportation, somewhat akin to how a normal person would see the effects of King Crimson; in Chapter 7-2, this teleportation is accompanied by a flash of inverted color, similar in effect to many of DIO's time-stopping abilities in Heritage for the Future and All-Star Battle. King Crimson can punch the floor and send debris flying, dealing heavy damage and destroying columns around the stage. Attempting to attack Diavolo while he is idle or otherwise not in the middle of an attack will cause him to teleport and counterattack, having taken no damage.

During Chapters 11-1 and 11-3, Diavolo gains two more abilities. King Crimson's debris is replaced by a powerful shockwave that covers nearly the entire stage, sending the player flying and dealing heavy damage if it connects. In addition, whenever Diavolo uses King Crimson's ability, the screen's color is inverted and time slows down for everything except him and King Crimson. Diavolo can still be damaged while King Crimson's effect is active, making it more akin to a "time-slowing" ability than true time erasure. When Diavolo's health hits zero for the first time in 11-3, Diavolo unleashes a non-damaging shockwave to knock the player away and recovers a fifth of his health; when this health is emptied, Diavolo is finally defeated.

Notorious B.I.G appears in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure in Chapters 8-1 and 8-2. In Chapter 8-1, Notorious B.I.G will move back and forth aimlessly until something moves, at which point the Stand will leap at and attack the source of the movement. The Stand only has one move against the player in this form: it will jump on the player's head before knocking them to the front of the plane. If one of the seats is attacked by the player, it will begin reclining, and Notorious B.I.G will begin tearing into it; if the attack that triggers it is a Stand Shoot from Spice Girl, B.I.G will be unable to destroy the seat.

Having eaten the airplane's engines, Notorious B.I.G grows to a gigantic size in Chapter 8-2, and continues growing during the fight. If B.I.G reaches the front of the plane, the player character will be crushed and die instantly. The player must attack B.I.G in order to set it back and stall it for two minutes. Notorious B.I.G will swipe at the player if they are too close, and stretch its arms in order to punch them from far away.

Both forms of Notorious B.I.G move and attack automatically, and even hacking the game to play as them will not allow the player to control them.

If the player stops moving during the level, the player character will begin sinking and Green Day's mold will begin dealing steady damage. Once the player begins moving again, the mold will cease its attack.

In Chapter 10-2, the player fights Cioccolata directly. Cioccolata's Stand, Green Day, is always active and moves in straight lines independently of him, teleporting near the player every few seconds. If the player touches the mold Green Day leaves in its wake, the mold will grow on them; during the fifteen seconds the mold is active, the player character will take continuous damage and begin flinching. Cioccolata himself can attack the player character either by punching them or cutting them with a scalpel. He can also tear himself into pieces and attack the player as individually moving parts, with his arms grabbing the player character and his legs kicking them.

Secco appears in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure as the main enemy of Chapters 10-1 and 10-3.

During Chapter 10-1, Secco will appear at fixed points in the stage to attack the player. Secco can punch, kick, or dive at the player, as well as create ripples in the ground to stun them. Secco can also slide at the player, following the slide up with a punching barrage if it connects. Secco's most dangerous technique requires the player to sink into the ground low enough for Secco to grab them and drag them into the floor; when this happens, Secco will throw the player out of a wall at a lower point, dealing heavy damage and setting the player back some distance. Secco cannot be defeated in Chapter 10-1, as he has no health bar; the player can only claim victory by reaching the exit ramp.

Secco is faced again in Chapter 10-3, in front of the Colosseum in Rome. Secco frequently dives underground during the battle, requiring the player to stand completely still to avoid being heard and attacked. Secco retains all of his moves from 10-1 except his grab attack. Instead, he gains the ability to spit mud into the air, which then rains back down as solid spikes in either a random formation or a straight line toward the player character.

Chariot Requiem appears in GioGio's Bizarre Adventure as the enemy character of Chapter 11-2, the penultimate battle of the game.

The player must defeat Requiem before it reaches the Colosseum's exit; failing to do so causes the player to immediately lose the battle. Requiem continuously walks toward the Colosseum's exit and never directly attacks the player. However, Requiem automatically summons a copy of Sticky Fingers to defend itself that can move independently of Requiem. Requiem's Sticky Fingers can use all of Bucciarati's Stand Mode attacks, and its range and independent movement mean that it can interrupt the player's combos and even combo the player themselves to give Requiem time to reach the exit.

In Another Story Mode, Chariot Requiem continues to use Sticky Fingers even though the player cannot play as Bucciarati. Oddly, Chapter 11-2 uses Diavolo's theme, making Chariot Requiem the only enemy character to not have at least one unique battle theme.

The instruction manual gives names to every attack each playable character can perform, for both their normal moveset and their moveset in Stand Mode. Many of these names are quotes from the manga, and so I will attempt to document all of them here. Polnareff's moveset and Gold Experience Requiem's special attack are not in the manual, but are instead named in the official strategy guide.
