Hi!

Welcome to my profile page! Here I talk about myself and my passions, as well as my history with JoJo. I started my JoJourney sometime in 2019, admittedly per recommendation of PewDiePie. I don't remember exactly when, but it was sometime during the summer. It's been roughly 5 years since then. Ever since I've been fascinated by the masterpiece that is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and the sheer amount of content that comes with being 32 years late to a series. 36 Souls

I currently have 426 edits, and please send help if I have too many.

About meMemories

I wouldn't want to have every person that visits my page to know my full address, my SSID or the numbers on my credit card, so I'll be keeping it fairly concise and secret here.

Basically I've been into JoJo for a couple of years, but didn't really discover the wiki fully until about 3. I had encountered it before of course, but had a bad experience since the first time I went on the wiki I accidentally spoiled myself on Jotaro's death. Basically learnt to always be careful when browsing character wiki's, they might reappear later.
Heaven
Ever since I started JoJo I've been addicted to rock and pop, and I've gotten A LOT of music recommendations from Araki through his recomendations.

JoJo

I only started watching the Phantom Blood anime in early 2020, but am currently up to date with the recent Stone Ocean anime. I can't remember what even inspired me to start watching JoJo, but I was hooked as soon as I did. The artstyle and 3D opening were nothing like I'd ever seen before in an anime. Phantom Blood only being 9 episodes allowed me to get a sense for what the series would hold, and once Joseph Joestar showed up in Battle Tendency, it was full speed ahead.

Despite watching the anime first, I'm a big manga reader (and books in general). My brother decided to buy all the available JoJo English manga on his Kindle, which I read all the way through – stopping at the most recent release of Vento Aureo. Since then, I've gone on to read JoJo's Colored Adventure: Steel Ball Run digitally, and am currently reading JoJolion. I'm yet to read Stone Ocean as, although it'll be a long wait, I want to experience it anime-first, as I had done with the previous Parts of the original JoJo universe. After JoJolion, I plan to read through the Stone Ocean manga, as well as spin-off series like TSKR and CDDH.

Other Anime/Shows

Outside of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, I've watched/read quite a few anime/manga. The ones that stick out to me the most are:

Light Yagami/Kira - Death Note

Personally, I'd say I prefer manga over anime in most instances, especially for more complicated, less action-packed series like Death Note. Therefore, I typically enjoy watching the anime for the opposite, such as Demon Slayer. That being said, some manga are simply incredible (and way ahead of the anime), like in the instance of One Punch Man. Despite my preferences, I have a deep appreciation for both manga and anime, unless one of the mediums is notoriously bad.

PvZ Roof level

I'm also a huge Whovian, and was a pretty avid reader of the Alex Rider series. If I was to nominate a book - that isn't a manga - as my favourite, it would either be Ready Player One or its sequel, Ready Player Two, both by Ernest Cline.

I'm also a bit of a gaming nerd, having spent ungodly amounts of time playing Terraria, Smash Ultimate and Brawl Stars (I've done more, but these are easily my top 3 most played). I've loved Plants vs Zombies since childhood, and I'm looking forward to ASBR's release as my first JoJo game!

Favourites

Whether it be personality, backstory, character arc, or some other magic element, these are my favourite characters across the series. Note that I am yet to finish either Stone Ocean or JoJolion.

Characters are ordered from more (left/top) to less (right/bottom) favourite.

My Favourite Characters

What I look for in a Stand is its looks, connection to its user, and – of course – ability.

Stands are ordered from more (left/top) to less (right/bottom) favourite.

My ranking of the JoJo parts, excluding JoJolion and Stone Ocean as I am yet to finish reading/watching them.

No. Title Original Run Chapters Volumes Image
1 Steel Ball Run Logo.png 2004 - 2011 95 24 Volume 104.jpg
Although hard to follow to begin with, Steel Ball Run picks up huge towards the second half of the Part. Diego is the Dio I never knew I wanted, and his AU counterpart is also endearing. Scary Monsters may just be my favourite JoJo Stand ever, and THE WORLD call back is unbelievably epic; I can't wait for anime-onlies to feast their eyes on its reveal. Spin is a bit BS for my liking, but it's a cool alternative to Ripple (although I don't know if I can confidently say better). Funny Valentine is a really great villain, and D4C is beyond awesome, but I feel like the Part would've benefited from him not being the main villain. He could've easily been less "evil" and more true to his ideals. His final attempt at defeating Johnny was straight-up pathetic, and it sucks that his character just simply couldn't overcome that urge. Speaking of Johnny... he's an asshole. He comes into the Part wanting to walk, and leaves being able to walk... while also having killed many racers, spectators, the US President and his short-lived best friend. Gyro is overly cryptic for my liking, but he's definitely not dislikable, and overall a chill character with epic cowboy drip. Despite its flaws, this is my favourite Part for how incredibly it does what it manages to do well (that's vague, but I wanna keep this desc short).
2 Stardust Crusaders Logo.png 1989 - 1992 152 16 Volume 17.jpg
Stardust Crusaders is when JoJo really takes off, introducing the bizarre phenomena of Stands, and having a whopping 48 episodes! Jotaro is truly a badass protagonist – without being cringe like other anime characters try to be – and the whole group dynamic of the Crusaders feels real. The manga is especially exciting to read, as it's not held back by pacing issues, and the whole Around the World in Eighty Days concept is something I would love to see in JoJo again. This Part still holds up against the others to this day, and will forever have one of my favourite final battles in any work of fiction.
3 Diamond is Unbreakable Logo.png 1992 - 1995 174 18 Volume 36.jpg
This Part brings jarring changes to the anime adaptation and takes a while to get used to, but once I finished it, I felt like I had just witnessed peak fiction. Looking back, DiU is not as good as I recall, and I feel like Killer Queen had more potential, being a very powerful set of Stands when used correctly. Ultimately however, there's a nice "slice of life" feel to the story, mixed with lots of action and mystery. It's interesting to see the town of Morioh be revisited so many times with stories like TSKR, CDDH and JoJolion, and I'm all for it.
4 Battle Tendency Logo.png 1987 - 1989 69 7 Volume 11.jpg
Introducing the loveable Joseph Joestar and god-like Pillar Men, this Part is a wild ride and is ultimately what permanently hooked me into this series. Joseph's differentiation from Jonathan is clear, and makes it clear that every JoJo Part truly has its own, unique story to tell. While not perfect, the basic idea of its story is compelling and expands on both Ripple and Vampirism. It feels like this Part alone has the most potential for insane lore, and I would personally love for Araki to revisit the Ripple Clan and Pillar Men, especially Kars and Esidisi.
5 Vento Aureo Logo.png 1995 - 1999 155 17 Volume 49.jpg
This Part has some of the best character arcs in the series, but also lots of missed potential that would've truly made it incredible. I strongly dislike how Requiem turned out, and although King Crimson has been explained by fans hundreds of times, it still feels like some of the stuff it does are allowed to happen for convenience (e.g. taking Trish's from the elevator by skipping over his own action). Bucciarati is a work of art, and Abbacchio's arc is beautiful. All in all, a Part with many confusing directions, but also Golden moments.
6 Phantom Blood Logo.png 1986 - 1987 44 5 File:Volume 1.jpg
This is definitely something that is appreciated much more the further you get into the series, and for only 5 volumes/9 episodes, it is a great introduction to the series. The rivalry between Jonathan and Dio is a great story in of itself, and it would be interesting if Araki every decided to rewrite this Part, adding more depth to their relationship. Also, Jonathan is – as Araki intended – a great character to define the core 'good' in future descendants of the Joestar bloodline. His death leaves a big impact on the viewer, and ultimately hooks them for what's in store in future Parts.
To be watched... Stone Ocean Logo.png 1999 - 2003 158 17 Volume 80.jpg
From what I've seen in the anime so far, I'm quite invested in Jotaro's character regrets and growth as a father to Jolyne. Hopefully Araki actually did something with it. Made in Heaven's universe reset does sound like an interesting conclusion to the original JoJo universe, and I look forward to seeing how it's handled. Especially with the decision that Jotaro has to make.
To be read... JoJolion Logo.png 2011 - 2021 110 27 Volume 112.jpg
Not much to say yet other than Wonder of U seeming like an amazing concept, with how it manipulates fate for Calamity.
To be read... JOJOLANDS (tentative) TBA TBA TBA NoPicMini.png
Little is known about the upcoming Part 9, which was announced in the author's note of the September 2021 issue of Ultra Jump.

These refer to overall openings, rather than strictly opening themes.

Also, instead of choosing my favourites here, I've ranked them in order of best to worst (top to bottom). If it isn't obvious, I'm a sucker for the 3D openings.
