Vanilla Ice is a minor antagonist of Part III: Stardust Crusaders. He is the last vampire created by Dio Brando and one of the most powerful of his men.

Personality

Vanilla Ice is extremely loyal to Dio Brando, offering Dio his blood by cutting off his own head with his stand and letting his blood pour into the pot that he firmly grabs onto, and when revived, instantly exits the room with his stand without caring about creating holes in the double doors and surroundings. This loyalty borders obsession, as Ice became extremely angry that Iggy created a copy of Dio that he was forced to attack and kicks and stamps the dog to death for this. However, this vengeance is what proves to be his downfall, as he was defeated when Polnareff led him into a room where sunlight flowed in, causing him to disintegrate.

Synopsis

Vanilla Ice is introduced as a human, and proves his loyalty to Dio by cutting off his own head. Dio, amused with this, poured some of his own blood into his body, healing him and turning him into a vampire; a fact Vanilla Ice was not aware as when he approached the fight with the Iggy, Jean Pierre Polnareff and Mohammed Abdul. He instantly kills Abdul with his stand and then trounces Iggy to death for making him attack a copy of Dio created by The Fool. After a long and grueling battle, Polnareff avenges his comrades by taking the advantage of the vampire's weakness of sunlight, and Vanilla Ice disintegrates.

Trivia

  • In the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure game, his name is changed to Iced; losing the pun of Vanilla Ice Cream as well as to avoid a possible lawsuit from the rapper of the same name.
  • He is the last vampire to be created by Dio.
  • He is the antagonist in Part III with the greatest killing spree: he killed Iggy and Abdul, whereas Dio only killed Noriaki Kakyoin (but came dangerously close to killing Joseph Joestar).
