Super Action Statue (超像可動, Chō-zō Kadō), commonly abbreviated as SAS, is a popular line of collectible figures released by Medicos Entertainment. The figures debuted in 2009 and feature a certain degree of articulation, allowing them to be displayed in various poses. Each figure is recognizable by the "S.A.S: Super Action Statue" logo on the box. Prices vary depending on availability and release date.
Aside from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Medicos has also adopted a number of franchises in their Super Action Statue line. These include Tokyo Ghoul, Parasyte, RWBY, Drifters, Ajin: Demi-Human, Kinnikuman, and Fist of the North Star.
Medicos Entertainment has continued to release the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure line as the story progresses; as of now, the characters featured range from Phantom Blood to JoJolion, with the color schemes used for the figures being specified by Hirohiko Araki.[1][2]
New figures tend to be announced at Japan's semiannual (February and August) Wonderfest. Many figures receive re-releases; for the most part, this is restricted to Firsts. However, there are some instances where Seconds have had additional runs. There are Wonderfest exclusive figures that are usually pre-existing sculpts with new color schemes and accessories; these have limited numbers made, with most being sold at the convention, with some being sold in lotteries on Medicos' site. Wonderfest figures are exclusive to their conventions and, therefore, never get second runs. An exception, however, are figures that are first released at Wonderfest, such as the Steel Ball Run line, which later get standard releases without their exclusive accessories.

The packaging for Super Action Statue figures has largely remained the same ever since it's debut in 2009, with the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure line only receiving a visual overhaul in 2020. The front of each box features a box window, the line's Japanese and English logos, the series logo, and the figure's name. Recent re-releases of characters with names that contain music references frequently feature abbreviations or shortened versions of names on the box, such as "Stone Free" being changed to "S・F", or "Whitesnake" being changed to "Ws". The sides of the box feature recommended poses for the figure, surrounded by an ornate border. The back of the boxes similarly feature suggested poses and ornate borders, as well as pictures of accessories included with the figure, and a description of the character. For the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, the boxes initially featured a black harlequin pattern, with the borders on the side and back of the box varying between figures. In 2020, new releases and re-releases began replacing the original design, updating them with an art deco-inspired design.
The boxes for the Baoh Super Action Statue releases do not feature the harlequin pattern. Boxes for crystal variants come in a black velvet box, with all relevant logos and text embossed in gold.
Despite being the first part, the Phantom Blood figures are some of the more recent figures to be produced. They are larger than figures from other Parts, made during the Stone Ocean line, where the scale had been increased.

The Battle Tendency figures were released soon after the Diamond Is Unbreakable figures and during the development of the Vento Aureo line. They are larger than most figures from other parts, though they are still smaller than the Phantom Blood figures.

The Part 3 figures were the first figures produced in the Super Action Statue line. It should be noted that the first releases of the Part 3 figures have been known to exhibit quality control issues, particularly with the joints. If purchasing older releases of the Part 3 figures, maintain caution when posing them. The Joseph figure had a tendency to snap at the thigh joint, which was completely redesigned for later releases to avoid this issue.

The Diamond is Unbreakable figures were released after the Stardust Crusaders figures. Improvements were made to this line, including better joints for all the figures, more proportional heads and a slightly bigger scale proportional to the characters.

The Steel Ball Run figures were released after the Stone Ocean figures. These figures started a trend of newly sculpted figures first getting a Wonderfest exclusive version with exclusive accessories before later having a standard release that is identical, except for the accessories. This is why Wonderfest figures that later have full releases have exclusive items outside their boxes, whereas Wonderfest releases without later releases have the accessories in the box.
They are also one of the few figures which came in bundles, with Johnny First, Johnny Second, Gyro Zeppeli Ver.1.5, and Diego Brando Second all having bundle options with their respective horses from the Super Figure Art Collection line. These bundles include special pieces similar to Wonderfest releases, with all four figures coming with special riding hands to pair with the horses.

The first JoJolion figures were released two years after the JoJolion manga debuted and during Medicos's run of the Vento Aureo figures. Until 2023, the line only had figures based on the early chapters of JoJolion. It was announced at Wonderfest Winter 2022 that new figures were in production.

Crystal figures are variants of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Super Action Statues covered in lab-grown crystals, originally only made by Swarovski, although recent figures have used other brands. They are sold exclusively at Wonderfest (with occasional sales in other expos) in limited numbers, the inside of each individual unit's box being numbered out of the total figure line produced.
The Super Action Statue BIG line consists of large-scale variants of the Super Action Statues.
The Clear variants of the Super Action Statue figures are very limited, extremely rare figures that were sold via lottery. There are currently only two Clear variants, The World and Killer Queen, which had 100 and 25 units manufactured, respectively.
The Baoh figures are based on Hirohiko Araki's manga, Baoh the Visitor. Currently, there are only two figures released, both only having been available at Wonderfest 2017 Winter.
