Um Beyond (ビヨンド, Biyondo) é uma habilidade metafictícia que vai além de tempo e espaço. Acreditar em Beyond permite que um indivíduo controle seu destino. Isso é um poder único à light novel 'JORGE JOESTAR', baseada na série de JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Os usuários conhecidoes de Beyonds são Tsukumojuku Kato, George JoestarO, Jorge Joestar37, e Dio Brando. Mas, o Beyond de Tsukumojuku o abandonou e passou para George, que foi escolhido como o novo herói da novel.
Aparência
O Beyond de Dio Brando aparece como Jesus. O Beyond aparece atrás de Dio com cabelo longo e sua face coberta por uma sombra, independente da posição do sol. Ele está semi-nu com um compro magro coberto em feridas, e usa uma coroa de espinhos em sua cabeça. Jorge diz que o Beyond de Dio na verdade é muito parecido com ele, com olhos tristes e gentis.[1]

Resumo
The concept of Beyond is comparable to God. Beyond is depicted as being the author of the story guiding the hero to where they should be or where they are needed at a certain moment of time. Beyond chooses someone to be the hero of their story. The hero has to be aware of their role, believe in Beyond, and understand that they are a fictional main character in a story.
According to Tonpetty, it is up to George whether to believe in Beyond or not. If he believes in it, he wouldn't die. If he doesn't put his faith in it, then he'll be brutally murdered by something terrifying around the time of his wedding, as fated. Stories have plots with narrative flow, so users with Beyond could not have things that didn't make sense or just showed up out of the blue. The user has to create the flow for it to work.[2]
Dio Brando's Beyond actually talks but only Jorge seems to hear it. The Beyond states that he agrees with everything. Dio can either keep going, call off his attack, do anything he likes, or do nothing at all.[1]
Only someone with a Beyond could defeat another with a Beyond.[1]
Crenças
The users of Beyond have different beliefs of what to do with their power based on their roles in the novel.
- George believes that he provides context as the main character of the story and must act with courage.[3]
- Tsukumojuku and Detective Jorge are confident because they believe they are a detective who can outwit any case.[4]
- Dio Brando believes that he's the king of the world.[1]
Trindade
It is implied that Tsukumojuku, God, and Beyond are all the same. It is later revealed that George, Jorge, and Dio all share the same Beyond, known as Trinity (
Tsukumojuku teaches George and Jorge to believe in their Beyond. Tsukumojuku also states that for miracles like what Beyond could do to occur, one would need the name of a god. The name "George" is said to have derived from "Zeus Georgos", whereas Dio is the Italian word for god. Tsukumojuku means 9, 10, 9, 10, 9 (九十九十九). Flipping the kanji for 9 (九) creates the astrological symbol for Jupiter, ♃. Jupiter is the Roman name for the Greek god Zeus, known as king of the gods. The kanji for ten, 十, is a cross, so Tsukumojuku's name has three gods (九) linked together by two crosses (十). If God is considered to be the Trinity, then God can be split into three. After his death, Tsukumojuku is with George in England, with Jorge in the Arrow Cross House, and with Dio Brando in his coffin, all at once.[5]
In Christianity, the Trinity is composed of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. George represents the Father, being the father of Joseph Joestar. Jorge is the Son, as he is the adopted son of Jonda Joestar in the 37th universe's Joestar family. Lastly, Dio is the Holy Spirit, as his body parts are the corpse parts of the "holy man" from the second universe (Steel Ball Run) in the novel.
George Joestar II
Quando George decide ter fé em seu Beyond, Tsukumojuku aparece para guiá-lo para onde ele precisa estar. Como resultado, George é teletransportado para Lisa Lisa e acaba ajudando ela enquante também ganha a álibi de estar em Roma quando ele se torna suspeito do assassinato de Kenton Motorize na Inglaterra.[5] Tsukumojuku aparece de novo para George uma última vez para salvá-lo de morrer em sua batalha contra Antonio Torres. Ele teletransporta George para Morioh no 37º universo, permitindo que George ajude Passione a resolver o mistério de Diavolo? e as mortes de Yoshikage Kira37 e também recuperar as memórias de Reimi Sugimoto37.
George depois usa seu Beyond para reverter Diavolo para sua personalidade de Giorno. He também deseja que o sol se erga à tempo de queimar o corpo de Dio, mas o próprio Beyond de Dio contrataca esse fato e o sol não o machuca tanto.[3] No final, ele o usa para separar sua alma de seu corpo para não sentir dor quando Kira tortura seu corpo.[1]
Jorge Joestar
Tsukumojuku leva o Jorge do 37º universo para a Espaçonave H.G. Wells, permitindo que ele conheça Kars e temporariamente ganhasse o Stand U-Boat.[6]
Ele depende no seu Beyond para pegar Dio de surpresa em sua batalha final. Jorge também consegue reviver Jonathan Joestar colocando sua cabeça no Corpo do Santo, que era, na verdade, o corpo original de Jonathan.[1]
Dio Brando
Dio usa seu Beyond para evitar ser queimado pelo sol. Ele derrotou uma versão paralela de Kars, permitindo que lee se tornasse a Forma de Vida Suprema. Ele também separa sua alma no meio e cria uma versão falsa de si mesmo colocando a outra metado no corpo de Giorno. Depois, ele cria um milagre no qual Lucy Steel fica grávida com uma cabeça suplementar de um homem sagrado. Já que Corpo do Santo é, na verdade as partes do corpo de Dio depois de se transformar na Forma de Vida Suprema, Lucy danda a luz à cabeça permite que Dio alcance a Igreja da Trindade e retome suas partes do corpo sem que ninguém na corrida Steel Ball Run suspeite do porquê as partes do cadáver não terem cabeça.[1]
Curiosidades
- O Beyond de Tsukimojuku o abandonando faz uma alusão à Tsukumojuku perdendo o status de protangonista da última novel de Ōtarō Maijō, Tsukumojuku, se tornando um personagem secundário em JORGE JOESTAR.
