JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Re-Edited
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Re-Edited (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 総集編, JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken Sōshūhen, lit. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Omnibus) is a highlight compilation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation's first season that condenses all 26 episodes into three movie-like features. It released in Japan on March 26, 2014 on Blu-ray and DVD in three separate volumes, as well as a box set format combining all three.
Each volume is approximately 105 minutes, with the first highlighting the events of Phantom Blood, while the last two contain Battle Tendency. Kazé also released the box set in France on March 15, 2017. In addition, the compilation is available digitally on Crunchyroll.
Summary
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Re-Edited includes a digipak with illustrations drawn by character designer Takako Shimizu. Each volume includes a CD of JOJOraDIO, with the box set including all three for a total of 35 episodes. The individual volumes also include a clear sleeve with tabletop stand, a picture label, and commercial videos.[3]
The box set includes audio commentary from voice actors. The first disc has commentary from Kazuyuki Okitsu and Ayako Kawasumi, the second disc has commentary from Yoji Ueda and Atsushi Imaruoka, and the third disc has commentary from Tomokazu Sugita and Takuya Sato.[1]
This re-telling of the TV anime omits several scenes but includes newly-recorded narration to help piece together the story. Several sound effects have also been replaced or updated.
