Notorious B.I.G, Part 4 (ノトーリアス・B・I・G(ビッグ) その④, Notōriasu Biggu Sono 4), originally Retired! (再起不能!, Ritaia!) in the WSJ release, is the ninety-seventh chapter of Vento Aureo and the five hundred thirty-sixth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.

Summary

Giorno successfully gets rid of Notorious B.I.G, at the cost of his two hands. Since Gold Experience's powers manifest through its hands, the group's prospect is bleak with Giorno; Mista and Narancia are severely injured with no way to heal them.

Bucciarati puts the wounded ones into Coco Jumbo and leaves the passenger cabin to tell Abbacchio the bad news. Trish, alone in the cabin, sees a football on the wing of the plane; it approaches and reveals itself as Notorious B.I.G which clung to the plane because of its speed.

As it enters the plane again, Trish remembers Notorious B.I.G's characteristics and moves away slowly. However, she sees Giorno's brooch transforming into a hand, as Giorno took the precaution of transmuting it. The movement catches Notorious B.I.G's attention and Trish resolves to protect that hand.

If we contract Brad Pitt to "BraPi," then what do we do for Leonardo DiCaprio? "DiCap," maybe?[a]
B(ブラッド)・ピットを“ブラピ”と呼ぶなら、L(レオナルド)・ディカプリオはなんて呼ぶんでしょうか。“デカプ”とか?

Notes

  1. In Japanese, rather than abbreviations or single names, longer names are often shortened via contracting each word to its first few kana. For instance, the name of an actor like Brad Pitt (ブラッド・ット) is contracted to "BraPi" (ブラピ) in casual conversation. The name "Leonardo DiCaprio" (レオナルド・ディカプリオ) cannot be easily contracted this way. Eventually, the nickname "Lord Leo" (レオ様) was commonly adopted by Japanese media and fans.
