Meet the Gangster Behind the Wall, Part 1 (塀の中のギャングに会え その①, Hei no Naka no Gyangu ni Ae Sono 1), originally Oral Examination! (面接試験！, Mensetsu Shiken!) in the WSJ release, is the ninth chapter of Vento Aureo and the four hundred forty-eighth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.

Summary

Giorno's dream is to be a "Gang-Star". To do this, he must climb the ranks of the local gang and make it to the top. Bucciarati agrees to help Giorno, and the two become partners.

Passione, meaning "warmth," controls the city of Naples, with drugs and gambling being its main form of business. The Boss is unknown, giving orders through trusted subordinates. To enter the gang, one must be interviewed by Polpo. Bucciarati directs Giorno to the prison where Polpo is located. Giorno enters the prison, and, after getting through security, heads to Polpo's cell. In the cell sits a gigantic, bulbous man that Giorno first mistakes for a bed. Polpo reveals how he has everything he could ever need inside his cell, causing Giorno to understand why he wouldn't want to leave. Polpo decides to start the interview, and then proceeds to bite off his own fingers.
