JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 ファントム ブラッド, JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken Fantomu Buraddo) est un film d'animation de 2007 produit par Studio A.P.P.P., qui s'occupait auparavant de l'animation de la série d'OVA. Il s'agit d'une adaptation du premier arc de la série JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Phantom Blood.

Le film a été produit pour commémorer le 20e anniversaire de JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, ainsi que le 25e anniversaire de la carrière d'Hirohiko Araki en tant que mangaka. Il a eu une sortie en salles limitée au Japon à partir du 17 février 2007. La sortie DVD a été retardée en raison de controverse entourant l'adaptation précédente du studio et a depuis été considérée un média perdu.

Différences avec le manga

• George est témoin de l'arrivée de Dio dans la calèche.
• Jonathan accueille Dio en haut plutôt qu'en bas.
• L'habitude de Dio de fermer un de ses yeux dans une situation de jugement se produisait plus souvent.
• Les monologues intérieurs de Dio ne sont pas représentés. Ses motifs d'intimidation sur Jonathan ne sont jamais expliqués.
• Le match de boxe et le match de rugby sont omis.
• Deux scènes supplémentaires sont ajoutées: une où Dio marche sur la montre de poche de Jonathan et une autre où Jonathan se fait piquer par une aiguille que Dio place sous son oreiller.
• Le concept de L'Onde n'est pas expliqué clairement. La dextérité de l'Onde n'est également jamais démontrée, elle est traitée comme une "énergie de combat" utilisée pour alimenter les coups de Jonathan.
• Robert E. O. Speedwagon est omis.
• Zeppeli peut être vu dans le film bande-annonce théâtrale en bas à gauche, courant vers le feu vert émis par le masque de pierre au manoir Joestar.
  • Il a également sauvé Jonathan du manoir en feu et lui a rendu visite à l'hôpital.
• Jack l'Éventreur est omis, mais il est sur une feuille de modèle et du matériel promotionnel, bien qu'il ait pu être un Zombie "supplémentaire".
• Le Wine Cutter Move de Zeppeli est présent dans le film, mais on ne sait pas pour le moment quand et où il l'a utilisé.
• Dio utilise son pouvoir vampirique pour transformer sa cachette dans Windknight's Lot en un château géant.
• Dio ne rencontre pas les protagonistes dans le cimetière; les chevaliers noirs, Bruford et Tarkus les attendent déjà et sont rapidement éliminés par l'Overdrive de Jonathan.

• Jonathan n'allume pas ses gants pour contrer la technique de congélation de Dio. Il le surmonte à la place avec " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49d3pZG0lXc&feature=youtu.be/49d3pZG0lXc?&t=24 une sous tension " pendant leur affrontement.
• Le navire Jonathan et Erina à bord navigue à travers l'océan Pacifique au lieu de l'océan Atlantique. C'est une erreur car Erina est toujours sauvée près des îles Canaries.
• Le bébé Elizabeth est omis du film. Au lieu de cela, elle entre dans le cercueil sans que Jonathan ne dise quoi que ce soit. Dans le manga, Erina choisit de mourir avec Jonathan mais est persuadée après qu'il lui a demandé de sauver le bébé.

Pilote international de Tokyo en 2004

Un pilote d'essai faisant également office de bande-annonce pour le film a été projeté au Tokyo International Anime Fair. L'animation et la conception des personnages sont entièrement uniques à la bande-annonce et n'ont pas été utilisées dans le produit final. Certaines scènes et personnages, dont Robert Speedwagon, étaient présents mais n'ont pas été intégrés au film.

Tout comme le film, le pilote avait été considéré comme perdu jusqu'au 14 septembre 2019, lorsqu'un utilisateur de Youtube nommé MangoMation l'a téléchargé sur sa chaîne avec la description: 'J'ai trouvé ce pilote sur un vieux DVD-RW, avec l'aide de "Notelu", qui a restauré et mis à l'échelle le pilote: / UC7fbUZW18qc58_OjQLgX9rQ Notelu's Channel. Événement PS2 de Phantom Blood

Hayama, Jun Itoda, Araki, Kazuhiro Ozawa & Hikaru Midorikawa

Cet événement a eu lieu le 13 septembre 2006 pour promouvoir le prochain jeu Phantom Blood sur PS2 qui devait sortir le 26 octobre 2006.

Hirohiko Araki, Junichi Hayama, Hikaru Midorikawa, Jun Itoda et Kazuhiro Ozawa ont assisté à cet événement, où il a été révélé que le film était en cours de production. Hikaru Midorikawa, le doubleur de Dio Brando dans le jeu PS2, a repris son rôle dans le film. Comme le duo comique nommé Speedwagon, composé de Jun Itoda et Kazuhiro Ozawa, respectivement Wang Chan et Dario Brando.

Ceux qui étaient présents à cet événement ont reçu un aperçu d'une bande-annonce de 47 secondes expliquant à quoi le film devait ressembler. Cette bande-annonce exacte est venue sur un disque bonus pour ceux qui ont pré-commandé le jeu PS2 Phantom Blood.

Deux affiches inutilisées/rares ont été exposées dans les couloirs de cet événement, qui n'ont pas été utilisées pour le film final, sauf dans le matériel promotionnel.

Duo comiques "Speedwagon"

• Malgré le manque d'implication des personnages dans le film, le duo comique japonais "Speedwagon", composé de Jun Idota et Kazuhiro Ozawa, respectivement Wang Chan et Dario Brando.
