Carne (カルネ, Karune) est un antagoniste secondaire de la cinquième partie de JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Vento Aureo.

Carne est un membre de l'Unità Speciale au service du Boss et par extension un membre de Passione. Carne est un manieur de Stand et son Notorious B.I.G est un Stand automatique qui consume de l'énergie et poursuit automatiquement la chose la plus rapide à proximité. Lorsque la Team Buccellati trahit le gang, Carne est déployé et envoyé en tant que kamikaze à l'aéroport de Venise.

Apparence

Carne est un petit homme italien dodu, avec un cou gras. Il a une coupe en brosse avec les cheveux coupé en une ligne légèrement inclinée. Dans l'anime, un fichier indique que Carne fait 160 cm (5 ft 3 in) de haut, 170 cm avec ses cheveux. Carne a un visage étrange, puisqu'il lui manque un nez avec juste des narines, et avec un fard a paupière épais. Il a un regard perçant avec de petites pupilles qui fixent Mista constamment. Il affiche un petit sourire narquois jusqu'à ce que Mista lui tire dans la jambe et qu'il meurt ensuite. Il n'a pas n'ont plus de lobe d'oreille, cependant des trous sur le côté du crâne.

Carne porte une combinaison stylisé de couleur sombre, avec de petites épaulières rondes. Il porte un pantalon ample qui découvre son entrejambe, un bandeau épais avec un motif de cercles avec une pointe, comme le costume de Buccellati. Il porte aussi des gants.

Personality

While Carne displays no personality before his death, it can be assumed that he was loyal to Diavolo enough to give his life for him. As he approaches Team Bucciarati with no visible weapons and a self-assuring smile, he was likely dispatched as a suicide bomber of sorts.

Carne was only described by his own stand from the graffiti it etched on Team Bucciarati's plane, implying that its user had a hateful personality, caused from being abused. It described Carne as a "pitiful man" who was "used and abandoned like an old rag" and also described him as having "died with hatred in his heart" and "that hatred is his energy". The graffiti also stated that his "energy" was activated after his death and that he was never aware of it prior.

Notorious B.I.G is a strange Stand fueled by its user's hate, not unlike Ebony Devil; as such, its true power is only revealed when the user dies. At this point, it transforms into an autonomous, completely indestructible blob-like creature that attacks the fastest-moving object in its vicinity and devours anything it can to grow.

History

Carne's death

Carne is a Passione operative and member of La Unità Speciale, a squad of special Stand Users at the orders of the Boss. At one point, he acquired his Stand and learned how to use it. He was sent out by the Boss to fight Bucciarati's team, confronting them at an airport as the team tries to hijack a plane. Summoning his Stand Notorious B.I.G he is killed almost immediately by Mista, yet his Stand power remains, fueled by his grudge. Upon riding the plane, the gang starts to notice unusual things that are caused by Carne's Stand.

Carne himself does not appear in the game. He is mentioned by the narrator as a Stand user that the protagonists killed offscreen before boarding an airplane. However, his Stand Notorious B.I.G is the main enemy faced in Chapters 8-1 and 8-2.

• Araki notes that he created Notorious B.I.G simply as an opponent for Trish to fight and enjoyed drawing Carne more than the Stand itself.
• For unknown reasons, Carne's name is never revealed in the anime adaptation, as the eye-catch for Notorious B.I.G replaces the names of both Carne and his Stand with question marks.
