—Caesar Zeppeli's last words, Chapter 92: Caesar: A Lonely Youth, Part 5

Caesar's headband is a bandana originally belonging to Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli in Battle Tendency, later passed to Joseph Joestar in a Ripple bubble after Caesar's demise at the hands of the Pillar Man Wamuu[1].

While it is merely an accessory, it is later crucial in Joseph's defeat of Wamuu[2], and becomes a recurring item, showing up in various future artworks and appearances of Joseph.

History

Caesar's crimson bubble

After being struck by Wamuu's Divine Sandstorm[3], Caesar grabs the Pillar Man's poison antidote ring off of him and puts his headband through it. Then, using the last of his Ripple, he creates a bubble that holds the bandana and ring. Joseph takes the items[4] and wears the bandana onwards[5] to honor his fallen comrade.

Bandana on fire

In Joseph's defeat of Wamuu[6], after throwing a molotov cocktail at the Pillar Man, Joseph follows up by lighting and throwing Caesar's headband. These items are sucked up by Wamuu, causing him to implode. The headband is ultimately destroyed, having served its purpose as avenging its original owner. In a way, Wamuu is defeated by Caesar after all.
