Atroe becomes the host of Foo Fighters

To take some time off being bullied, Atroe volunteers to join the search party searching for the missing prisoners. She investigates the farmlands along with Jolyne Cujoh, Ermes Costello, and two other inmates. When the group realizes that there is suspiciously a sixth inmate among them, Atroe is asked by Jolyne when the sixth person arrived. Atroe replies that she doesn't know. Suddenly, the six prisoners' bracelets, which were designed to explode if they were over 50 meters away from the search party guard, start making strange sounds. Foo Fighters, who has killed the search party guard, steers his body away from the group, causing Atroe's bracelet to explode, claiming her life.[4]

Afterwards, Foo Fighters decides to occupy Atroe's body. For the rest of her appearances, Foo Fighters continues using Atroe's body as her vessel,[3] up until her death at the hands of Enrico Pucci.[5]

The guard rail... It's a new type of creature and most likely an animal! Something like a snake... or a guard dog...!

The Guard Rail (ガードレール, Gādorēru) is an unnamed tertiary character featured in the eighth part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, JoJolion.

It is a mysterious creature who preys on Lucy Steel and Joseph Joestar during their investigation of the Radio Gaga Incident. It is implied to be a Rock Animal which Tooru uses to prevent trespassers from getting near the Locacaca he is harvesting.[1]

Appearance

The guard rail creature is a long snake-like creature that is either disguised as a guard rail or resembles one. According to Joseph, the creature's skin is hard and dry. The screws appear to be its eyes. Lucy suspects the creature to be some kind of animal or guard dog..[1]

Personality

The guard rail creature is malevolent, as it uses the bodies of its victims to mimic human voices to lure other victims into its reach. It's also shown reprimanding Lucy and Joseph for abandoning their seemingly dead driver, calling them low-lives and their actions inhumane.[1] The creature is shown to have a cowardly side, as it decides to flee after being beaten up by Joseph Joestar and his Stand.

Despite having the ability to speak humanly with bodies of its victims, the creature itself makes rather unintelligible sounds, more commonly "ga ga" (ガガ).

Abilities

Body Manipulation

The guard rail creature is capable of controlling the bodies of its crushed victims. The bodies are noted to be kept alive.[1] The controlled body is seemingly held by its intestines that stick out from the guard rail's gaps where it crushes its victims. From this, the guard rail can mimic human voices.

History

Background

The guard rail creature is responsible for the disappearance of a woman, having lured and devoured her, though it's implied that it claimed more lives.[2]

1941

As Lucy Steel and Joseph Joestar investigate the Morioh Hunting Grounds, the guard rail creature mimics a human voice to lure in their driver.
