Morioh
Morioh (杜王町, Moriō-chō) est une ville fictive figurant dans la huitième partie de JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, JoJolion.
Située au Japon dans la Préfecture M près de la ville de S,[1] Morioh est l'endroit dans lequel l'entièreté de la partie 8 se passe et le héros Josuke Higashikata explore la ville alors qu'il essaie de retrouver son identité.
Histoire
La ville de Morioh est une ancienne ville, datant d'au moins du XVIème siècle, période où Date Masamune résidait dans la ville. Le littoral est couvert de maisons de vacances. Le tourisme est la principale source de revenus de la ville ; mais, récemment, l'industrie de la fabrication de puces électroniques a connu un boom sans précédent.
Le 11 mars 2011, peu avant les événements de JoJolion, un grand tremblement de terre et un tsunami (en référence au Séisme de 2011 au Japon) ont frappé la ville, infligeant des dégâts remarquables sur tout le littoral. Le littoral a été dévasté, et la zone pratiquement abandonnée. La nuit suivant, des promontoires rocheux nommés les Murs qui Voient sont soudainement apparus, créant un mur de 10km de long longeant la côte, comme pour protéger la ville de quelque chose venant de la mer même si ces murs ont aussi détruit des routes et des conduites d'eau et de gaz par la même occasion.[1]
Géographie
La ville de Morioh est une ville japonaise côtière située dans la zone M (pour Momiji) de la ville de S. Selon une carte de l'institut de géographie nationale, Morioh serait située à trois kilomètres de la côte et est localisée sur un petit plateau situé à 15 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer. Ceci aurait permis de préserver la majorité de la ville du tsunami. Après le passage du tsunami, la zone du littoral est majoritairement abandonnée.[1]
La ville de Morioh fait face à la côte à l'Est de la ville. A l'Ouest sont les zones montagneuses. Au Sud de la ville, le fleuve Ichiogawa traverse d'Ouest en Est la terre avant de terminer dans l'Océan Pacifique.
Culture
Morioh's local delicacies include:
- Beef Tongue with Miso Pickles[1]
- Mitsudango, dango of rice containing soybean, sesame seeds, cream; and honey, as speciality.[2]
Endroits Divers
The place where Josuke Higashikata was discovered. It is a plot of land situated right in the middle of the area uplifted by the earthquake, Josuke himself being found near a spring, and Yoshikage Kira having been buried at the bottom of said spring. It is situated near the Higashikata estate and the soil here has supernatural properties allowing an Equivalent Exchange.
A landmark of Morioh, it is a lone pine situated right at the edge of the coast. It was once situated at the top of a mound, over a small cavern with a shrine put there by the Higashikata Family where they used to perform equivalent exchanges to save the heir from the Rock Disease. The cavern also apparently leads to the Higashikata's underground facilities.[3] It is said that the famous mangaka Shotaro Ishinomori meditated here.
Yoshikage Kira's home. Situated in the building 258, "Tsutsujigaoka", it is a small but comfortable residence fitted with modern furniture.
During the Soft & Wet story arc, the condo is booby-trapped by Ojiro Sasame. When Yasuho Hirose and Josuke Higashikata enter the condo, they are stuck in the middle of the multiple traps Ojiro has placed to injure their limbs.
Yasuho Hirose's home. A modest underground apartment in which Yasuho lives with his mother Suzuyo Hirose. Although you have to climb a small set of stairs to go to the front door, entering leads immediately to a platform from which one has to descend to reach the living room. Yasuho has her own room in this apartment.
Morioh's commercial district, situated near the train station. It is the touristic hub of the town and one of its economic hubs, as it is full of shops and has an arcade.
The Higashikata Fruit Parlor is the shop of Norisuke Higashikata IV, where he sells high-class fruits to his customers. The unsold fruits are used as ingredients for the café situated above the parlor itself.
A hat shop in Morioh, founded in 1891. It sells all kinds of hats, like sailor hat, baseball caps, caps, and cowboy hats. Josuke Higashikata and Yasuho Hirose visit the shop and learn that Yoshikage Kira has recently bought a sailor hat there.
A convention center, which Joshu visits to greet the idol Rena Nanami and buy merchandise of her.
The local baseball stadium, owned by Maako Kitani and the stadium of the Seiten Birdies. It is also where Aisho Dainenjiyama works as a security guard. Aisho conducted a trade of the Locacaca with local baseball star Atsunori Iwakiri.
Damokan Cleaning (ダモカンクリーニング, Damokan Kurīningu) is Tamaki Damo's dry cleaning business. A now abandoned building since Damo's death.
A shrine situated near the TG University Hospital. Its pond is the home of Dolomite since he's lost his limbs.
Mount Hananero (鼻炉山, Hananero-yama) is one of the mountains situated near Morioh. Used as a ski resort in the winter, as it is equipped with a ski lift. Rai Mamezuku lives on said lift in the summer.
Morioh's harbour. Contains an industrial area. It is also used as a port for private boats, and Tamaki Damo attacks Yoshikage Kira and Josefumi Kujo there. It is partially wrecked when Killer Queen makes a bomb explode there.

- This place is the SBR counterpart to Diamond is Unbreakable's Morioh.
- Likewise, this Morioh appears to be based on Sendai, Hirohiko Araki's hometown; located in the same place, and sharing some of its history and culture.
- The deadly real world March 11, 2011, earthquake and tsunami that devastated Sendai has also affected Morioh, resulting in the Wall Eyes.
- Both Sendai and Morioh were founded by Date Masamune.
- Sendai is well known by its nickname, the City of Trees (杜の都, Mori no Miyako).
- Jobin Higashikata mentions a Trussardi Italian restaurant, hinting at the possible existence of a counterpart to Tonio Trussardi.[5]
