High Priestess (ハイプリエステス（女教皇）, Hai Puriesutesu) est le Stand de Midler figurant dans la troisième partie de JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Stardust Crusaders.
Prenant l'apparence d'un nain à la mine antipathique et au corps poilu, High Priestess a la capacité de se transformer en n'importe quel objet non-organique.
High Priestess est un stand lié aux minéraux. Sa forme normale est celle d'une petite créature ayant un masque tribal avec des yeux vicieux et des crocs dénudés sur son visage, et des bras fins et musclés doté de griffes acérées sortant d'une masse informe matière inorganique. De plus, il peut se transformer en n'importe quel objet inorganique. Selon JOJOVELLER, son design prend des éléments de tenues traditionnelles de shamans africains. Dans le manga couleur, High Priestess est brun rougeâtre avec une fourrure bleue. Dans l'anime, il est blanc avec une fourrure brune.
Il représente la carte de la Papesse du tarot divinatoire, qui symbolise intuition et savoir ésotérique.
Lorsque Midler ne parle pas à travers son Stand, High Priestess agit comme un animal sauvage et vicieux, criant à plein poumons ou ricanant sans cesse alors qu'il pourchasse le Groupe Joestar.[1]
High Priestess is a formidable opponent physically speaking. Its small size and nimbleness make it difficult to strike and its claws are very dangerous, being able to cut through Joseph's metal hand.[2] This, combined with its ability that multiplies its options, makes for a fearsome opponent.
Moreover, because it is a long-range Stand, Midler can sit away from danger while she commands High Priestess. On the other hand, it also means that Midler can be taken out through defeating High Priestess.
High Priestess possesses teeth harder than diamonds, making them almost unbreakable.[3] It can use them to bite hard on or crush the opponent by chewing them.
High Priestess possesses the ability to shapeshift and assimilate itself into any type of inorganic matter, be it metal, glass or plastic.[1] Moreover, it can also replicate rather complex structures, transforming into a spear gun to shoot itself at the Joestar Group.[4] The transformation is convincing enough that cautious examination or even trying to touch it will fool anyone. Because of that, it can disappear into a wall and then reappear elsewhere to strike.[1] Its small size by default belies an ability to turn gigantic if it can assimilate a great amount of material like the stone of the sea floor.[4]
