Yellow Temperance (イエローテンパランス(黄の節制), Ierō Tenparansu) is the Stand of Rubber Soul, featured in the third part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, Stardust Crusaders.
Yellow Temperance is a blob-like Stand that consumes flesh to grow in size. It can wrap itself around its user in order to provide either a disguise or an impenetrable defense.
Appearance

Yellow Temperance's base is an amorphous, yellow substance, with zero facial features. However, it takes on the characteristics of anyone it transforms into.
As a Materialized Stand, Yellow Temperance can be seen by non-Stand users as a result of being directly bound to flesh wrapped around its user's body.

Abilities
Yellow Temperance's blob-like nature and ability to absorb organic matter from physical contact make it one of the few Stands of the series that can be said to be physically invincible.
On the other side, Yellow Temperance is limited by its own user's human vulnerabilities, to the point it can be said that its one weak point is Rubber Soul.
Assimilation

Yellow Temperance's primary power is the ability to assimilate organic matter, using it to grow stronger and larger. Thus, its user constantly seeks things to consume even when disguised and trying to fool a target.[2] It also makes it visible to ordinary people.[2] Yellow Temperance's full body consumes at a quick and violent pace, able to consume a dog's body[3] and entire lobsters[4] in mere moments. Yellow Temperance can leave small residue leftover from contact with it, like when Jotaro punched its disguise of Kakyoin with his bare fist and accidentally got a small bit of it stuck onto his hand.[2] When deposited as just a small part on someone else, Yellow Temperance begins to cover their entire body, staying attached to them no matter how far they go from the user and spreading until it completely assimilates and kills the victim.[3] The attached bit of Yellow Temperance cannot be removed unless the affected body part is cut off completely.[3]
Physical Imperviousness

With its blob-like nature, Yellow Temperance has the capacity to absorb great amounts of physical punishment and impacts, allowing it to be used as an armor by Rubber Soul.[4] It is fast enough to react to and catch attacks from Star Platinum both bare-handed[3] and with a physical weapon,[4] completely shielding against them without effect. It can resist impacts, burning, and freezing, completely shielding Rubber Soul behind it.[4] Attempting to burn it with heat will cause it to erupt and multiply allowing it to spread rapidly across the affected area.[4] Attempting to freeze it with cold will cause it to harden and form spikes that dig into the victim's flesh burying itself deeper inside their body.[4] However, it cannot make up for human frailties, such as the need to breathe.[4] For all intents and purposes, Yellow Temperance is invincible as long as Rubber Soul is still alive to use it.
Appearance Replication

Yellow Temperance is able to alter Rubber Soul's physical appearance allowing him to wear the look of anyone he desires.[2] This ability has been shown to mimic other Stands as well, when what seemed to be a part of Yellow Temperance detached itself from Rubber Soul under his Noriaki Kakyoin disguise and formed into Hierophant Green.[3] The size of the disguise grows in proportion to how much Yellow Temperance consumes, as shown when Rubber Soul's disguise of Kakyoin began to tower over Jotaro's height by the time he was exposed to be a fake.[2] When struck by a strong enough impact like a punch, the disguise will physically rip apart and blood will spill out as if the person it was disguised as was damaged extremely badly.[2]

Creation and Development
Hirohiko Araki mentions that several enemy Stands, such as Yellow Temperance, were inspired by various horror movie items. For Yellow Temperance's case, it was a slime, likely referring to the 1958 film The Blob, which is about an amoeboid alien life form from outer space that grows larger and larger the more it consumes.[5]
