Hello, I'm Morgan, a retired editor and moderator for JoJo's Bizarre Encyclopedia, a fan-made wiki dedicated to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
My favourite part is Stone Ocean, and my favourite characters are Mariah and Bruno Bucciarati. Besides JoJo, I'm also a fan of Berserk, Gantz, Baki, Detective Conan, and One Piece.[1] I currently have 30,404 edits on the wiki.
Summary
I started reading JoJo in 2014, shortly after the announcement of All-Star Battle and the Part 3 anime. Prior to that, I was just a casual fan of the arcade fighting game and the OVA series. I got caught up with the series in 2016 during JoJolion, and currently I'm reading and working on Part 9.
I joined the JoJo wiki in May 2017 because I wanted to document obscure media within the series, and was a moderator on the site from October 2017 to June 2024. My first major contribution involved replacing all the low quality volume covers we had on the old site with newer ones.[2] In 2019, I assisted Vish with setting up and migrating to the new site, which you can read more about here. I also created a dark theme and browser extension for the wiki with his help.[3] In 2021, I became an editor and moderator for jojo-news.com, a site dedicated to archiving news and interviewing notable figures related to the series.[4] Additionally, I've also collaborated with several prominent content creators within the JoJo community, including Hamon Beat, Saltydkdan, and The Shuckmeister.[5][6][7]
I've also contributed to a lot of translation projects on the wiki, such as interviews, and author's notes. Outside the wiki, I've also contributed to scanlations for several JoJo-related spin-offs, including Deadman's Questions,[8] The Harvest Moon,[9] Fujiko's Bizarre Worldly Wisdom,[10] Drip Painting Style,[11] and Gorgeous Irene. In addition, I've also helped and provided minor translation assistance for other scanlation projects, including Baoh the Visitor,[a] Cool Shock Old B.T.,[b] Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak,[c] Hot Summer Martha,[12] and The JOJOLands.[d]
Leaving the JoJo Wiki
As of June 2024, I've decided to take an indefinite hiatus from editing. Primarily due to inactivity, but also due to stress from the constant harassment and stalking by new members over the years; none of which I'm particularly comfortable or equipped to deal with. Though I usually keep my hobbies to myself, working on the wiki has given me the opportunity to talk to some of the coolest JoJo fans I'll probably ever meet. No matter how bad the fanbase gets, it's nice to know that there are still people out there who are as passionate about the series as I am. For the past 7 years, I've basically treated the JoJo Wiki as a personal hobby, so seeing people call it one of the best and most comprehensive fan wikis on the internet makes me very happy. If you need to contact me, you can do so by direct messaging me on Twitter or by joining my Discord server, which you can join here.
