Endless Calamity, Part 9 (終わりなき厄災 その⑨, Owarinaki Yakusai Sono 9) is the one hundred third chapter of JoJolion and the nine hundred fiftieth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.

Summary

The narration mentions a commercial flight coming from New Chitose Airport and approaching the S Airport's runway, near Morioh. As the plane drops in altitude in preparation for the landing, a minor failure in the plane happens. The cause is unknown, either being due to particularly harsh environmental factors or a failed inspection. In any case, as the plane descends, the change in temperature and air pressure causes high-pressure air to leak inside of the plane and cause a panel to come undone. This piece of metal, whose dimensions are 147 centimeters by 60 centimeters by 30 centimeters and weighing approximately 3 kilograms is about to crash into Morioh.

At the Higashikata House, Joshu tries to attack Yasuho but trips on the potted Locacaca and falls to the ground. Yasuho finally sees Tooru and his Wonder of U, and warns her that the order of death has shifted to her dying next. Still, Yasuho continues her call to Kei Nijimura. As Holy Joestar-Kira lies on her bed, Yasuho tells Kei about her situation and that if they can inform Josuke of the user's identity, then they can win. Kei tells Yasuho that she's headed for the secret Locacaca lab, which worries Yasuho. Yasuho thus warns her about the calamity powers of the enemy. Nonetheless, Kei continues forward.

In the laboratory, Wonder of U senses someone approaching while Josuke checks on a heavily wounded Rai Mamezuku. Wonder of U asks again if Josuke wants to approach him, to which Josuke retorts that he's the one who is making Wonder of U approach him. Josuke proceeds to wreck the supply of Locacaca6251 with Soft & Wet. Wonder of U tells him to stop since the medicine is valuable and pretends that the medicine is something that the world needs. Josuke doesn't listen to him and continues to destroy all the tubes. Wonder of U decides to approach Josuke, and as he carefully stays clear of Soft & Wet's bubbles, he decides to tell Josuke that Yasuho is in danger at the Higashikata estate to psychologically destabilize him. Josuke hesitates for a split second before resuming destroying the Locacaca6251 tubes with even more fervor.

However, in doing so, he makes shards of glass ricochet towards his neck. Wonder of U expresses his incomprehension towards Josuke's stubborn struggle; he then mentions that Yasuho will die next, as will Mitsuba Higashikata, and says that all Josuke had to do was to not pursue him. Wonder of U then mentions that if Josuke touches anything he touches, then the flow of calamity will also attack him. At the same time, the enemy Stand ostentatiously touches the wreckage of the vault and the test tubes on the ground. Josuke performs a high kick into Wonder of U's neck but his own bubbles work against him and shred a part of his leg. Josuke trips backwards and impales his left shoulder into a metal rod from the vault that he's destroyed. The situation looks hopeless, but suddenly a gust of wind starts coming from inside the vault.

Born This Way appears and produces cold wind, freezing several bubbles before propelling them towards Wonder of U. The latter tries to deflect them with his cane. Kei finally enters the room. To his shock, Wonder of U realizes that he's been wounded in the head; at the Higashikata estate, Tooru finally bleeds for the first time. Wonder of U thus finally realizes what Rai Mamezuku was saying, understanding that there is yet another invisible power in Josuke's bubbles.
