This article lists possible references made in popular series and by popular artists to art or concepts defining to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Discussion of the legitimacy of these references can be found here.
References range in nature from tribute to plagiarism. Many are comic, while the "JoJo poses" in particular cross into greater cultural significance, with the greatest examples being those reproduced by a handful of popular Japanese performing artists.
The idol groups of Hello! Project, like Angerme, consists of a few JoJo fans. Their girls strike JoJo poses on their blog and sometimes mix JoJo references into their dance choreography.

Fashion model and musical artist Kyary Pamyu Pamyu often uses JoJo poses in performances. During an interview she has also mentioned having felt like a Stand user and has named one of her dogs JoJo. In her music video for "PONPONPON", she can be seen doing several different poses referencing different anime throughout the video with the last featuring aforementioned pose.

J-pop group, RADIO FISH, featuring Atsuhiko Nakata and Shingo Fujimori of comedy duo Oriental Radio, performed their songs "PERFECT HUMAN" and "ULTRA TIGER" at the Halloween Music Festival 2016. The crew dressed up as characters from Parts 4-6 of JoJo with Fujimori as Narancia and Nakata as Yoshikage Kira.
Otaku idol Shoko Nakagawa (a.k.a. Shokotan) is a dedicated fan of the manga series and is known to do JoJo poses during interviews and live performances on stage, including breaking her tailbone when doing a Narancia pose on stage during a concert.[1] She often posts about her love of Jotaro Kujo and once interviewed Araki on a Japanese television show, which resulted in the creation of Love Note.

In the animated music video for the song "SMASH!," performed by American comedy supergroup Starbomb and animated by Studio Yotta, Luigi at some point does Dio's infamous "Wryyy" pose. Immediately after he is seen surrounded by Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, and Princess Zelda while mimicking Giorno Giovanna's famous "I have a dream!" pose.[2] Joel C, the director of the music video, has confirmed the references were intentional in his blog.[3]
Yuka Kashino (a.k.a. Kashiyuka) from Japanese electropop group Perfume often talks about her love for JoJo in the media and has struck JoJo pose with other members during photo ops. In addition, the choreography inspired by JoJo poses appear in Perfume’s music video for their 2010 single "Natural ni Koishite".

American hip hop artist and comedian Open Mike Eagle released on October 16, 2020 the album Anime, Trauma and Divorce which has two songs referencing the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. The first is "Bucciarati" and the second is "I'm a Joestar (Black Power Fantasy)". The song "I'm a Joestar" was also featured on Adult Swim's youtube channel with an official AMW with clips from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.
Open Mike Eagle discuss the link between the song and the series. "Bucciarati" deals with the themes of "into needing help, changing direction and doubling down on his art", while "I'm a Joestar" pays homage to the way the series regularly changes the settings and the characters, Open Mike Eagle citing how it allows him to better imagine himself in the world.[4]

In episode 4, while Mai is wondering if Mi had courage she suddenly summons a Stand-like figure engraved with the kanji for "courage" (度胸, dokyō) that looks much like Magician's Red.
When Itsuki Minami gropes a naked Simca, Ringo Noyamano is so furious that a monstrous Star Platinum-shaped shadow appears behind her and Ikki replies "Star Platinum!!?". At one point Ikki even uses one of Jonathan's ability, the "Zoom Punch" from Part 1.
Hotaru Tachibana can be seen doing a JoJo-inspired pose and having her toy-gun depicted in the manner of a Stand behind her in episode 4.
Chapter 176 displays various memories of the students hanging out/trying to kill their teacher Korosensei. In one of them, one student painted Korosensei being shot at by another student in the same manner as Tohth predicting Jotaro would be shot at by two bullets.
Yusei Matsui, the creator of Assassination Classroom, also joined Araki on a 2013 TV Special where he ate the latter's homemade spaghetti. As an avid fan of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, Matsui drew an 8-page report on his experience with Araki and his cooking.
Several scenes pay homage to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. In one scene, Akihisa Yoshii is seen trying Mizuki Himeji's bento box, only to be dragged into the darkness by a bunch of hands. There is also a scene in episode 7 where an annoying man with Josuke Higashikata's hair and his girlfriend try to get married at the Kisaragi Grand Park. The scene features JoJo-inspired like frames and the character even does several poses from Jonathan Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, and Killer Queen.

As a comedy, it has several brief and subtle references. In episode 1, Ichiko Sakura has a monologue about her popularity and beauty, while imagining herself posing like Kars. In episode 6, there is a scene of Ichiko looking like Josuke after returning Keita Tsuwabuki his handkerchief. For the same scene, in chapter 9 of the manga, we only find a quote from Josuke's Speech about "wearing new underwear on New Year's Day". In chapter 21 of the manga, Nadeshiko Adenokouji expresses her jealousy and rage with Ichiko and Ranamaru Rindou, resembling the scene when Josuke and Jotaro are being attacked by Yoshihiro in Kira's house in Diamond is Unbreakable. In Chapter 32, the scene of a random girl attacking Bobby resembles the scene of Esidisi attacking Caesar after having taken control of Suzi Q's body, in Battle Tendency. In chapter 40, a Binbōgami Item turns a pumpkin into a horse carriage that resembles one of the chariots used during the chariot race between Joseph and Wamuu, also in Part 2.
In Chapter 23 of the sequel series, Shinsetsu Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, the character Gaoh is wearing a stone mask during a fight.
In chapter 8 (episode 4), Kazuki Muto draws a picture of missing school student Koushaku Chono to show to other classmates. This picture is humorously drawn in the artsyle of Hirohiko Araki, much to everyone's surprise. Later on chapter 48 (episode 15), the Warrior Chief Captain Bravo quotes Avdol's line of "YES I AM!" upon being recognized by the other characters on the beach. In chapter 49 (episode 16), he also mimics Polnareff's "Bravo, oh bravo!" pose (while riding a surfboard).
Episode 16 of Cardfight!! Vanguard G: GIRS Crisis has the characters imitate the poses of characters from JoJo. Kumi Okazaki is doing Josuke's pose, Luna Yumizuki does Jotaro's, Tokoha Anjou does Jonathan's, and Am Chouno does Rohan's.
CLAMP have been fans of the JoJo series since before becoming well-known themselves. They have done several JoJo-based dōjinshi, the most notable of which is CLAMP in Wonderland 1994 Summer and features the heroes of Stardust Crusaders. The JoJo character they created in that doujinshi also appears at the end of their first CLAMP in Wonderland video, alongside their own series' characters.
Koyoharu Gotouge, the manga artist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, is a fan of JoJo according to their first editor, Tatsuhiko Katayama. The series was particularly influenced by JoJo, such as the breathing method being similar to the Ripple, and the motif of the immortal demon Muzan being reminiscent of Dio Brando.[5]
There are several other homages to JoJo throughout the manga.
In Chapter 129, Inosuke charges through a window yelling "WRYYYYYY", which is the battle cry mainly used by Dio Brando but also a few other characters in JoJo.
In Chapter 160, Doma sticks his finger into his skull, just like DIO does after drinking Joseph's blood.
Demons in the series like Muzan are also capable of transferring blood through their fingers, like Dio does.
In the first episode, Director asks Umio what happened between he and Hiotan. Umio says "nothing" and then Director comes closer to Umio and licks his ear, saying that he has the "taste of a liar". This is a reference to the Giorno and Bruno's "taste of a liar" scene from Vento Aureo. In Episode 2, Director and Umio makes JoJo poses (Director as Jonathan, Umio as Joseph). In Episode 7, Director makes a JoJo reference.
In episode 5 of Etotama, smoke covers the room due to the main character being sick with a unique virus. The smoke clears up and reveals the characters doing poses, a couple of which are from JoJo.
Ropponmatsu2 is an android who appears in various episodes. In episode 16, it is found by Excel in a delivery box and shows the Joestar Birthmark.
Lamy, an enemy character from the dark guild Tartaros in Fairy Tail, is seen doing a JoJo pose in Part 5-Part 6 era art style in episode 238 and in the 20th opening.
In chapter 120 of Fire Force, the character Ogun Montgomery unleashes a fury of punches while shouting "Dam Dam Dam". This is a reference to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's famous stand rush cries. Additionally in the anime adaption, this reference is pushed even further with Ogun shouting multiple Ora's in quick succession, in reference to Star Platinum's famous "Ora" stand rush.
In chapter 22, Rory Mercury goes on a rampage against foreign special forces during the Hakone Incident. The Japanese Minister of Defense, an avid of fan of anime, asks if she had "put on the stone mask and feeds on blood". This was omitted from the anime adaptation.
One of the Tachikomatic Days sketches during Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG shows that after getting outfitted with a new "Agent" equipment one of the Tachikoma gets an Araki-style appearance and an ability to summon a Stand-like Agent that has the ability to stop time, "Reset The World".
One of the arcs has the protagonists entering a haunted inn that services spiritual beings called "stands" (which are actually just ghosts), so that they may attain the happiness necessary for them to reach the afterlife. The "stands" may possess the "stand user" to grant him special abilities, which parody the conventional Stand naming derived from musical themes. The anime equivalent of the arc has Gintoki Sakata defining a "stand" while Star Platinum appears as an example, donning Gintoki's trademark attire, and includes a reference to Araki Hirohiko as a "backwards-aging fairy". The main antagonist of the arc, Oiwa, also uses Star Platinum's battle cry "ORAORAORA".

In episode 2 of GJ Club, Kyōya Shinomiya is reading Volume 14 of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. In episode 7, he turns into ORE-MAN and does several poses, a couple taken from JoJo.

In both the anime and manga, the main character, Aya Akabane, is often seen doing JoJo-like poses when discussing things relating to beauty.
In the Golden Kamuy Official Fanbook, when asked which writer influenced him the most, Satoru Noda answered Hirohiko Araki. However in the same interview, he states that he doesn't intend to include JoJo parodies in Golden Kamuy. In Chapter 145 of the manga, the main character Saichi Sugimoto, rapidly releases a fast barrage of punches followed by after-images of himself. The page itself resembles panels from Chapter 46 and Chapter 69 of Stardust Crusaders, however Noda notes that this was actually a reference to Fist of the North Star.[6]
In episode 6, Inugami puts Kohina Ichimatsu's head in the mouth of a big spirit to change her face. Inugami is beaten by Kokkuri-san for his actions and Kohina does Risotto Nero's pose over Inugami's body.

In episode 5, Hacka Doll v.4 finds a guy on the streets reading a car magazine and tries to gift him a car. She briefly recreates DIO's Road Roller attack before throwing the car at him.[7]

Of the many Infernal Demons that can be summoned by Bayonetta during a Climax Attack, the Little Devils are an obscure reference to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, more specifically Guido Mista's Sex Pistols. Director Hideki Kamiya has mentioned during a commentary that, much like Sex Pistols, each of the five devils have their own personality, and have a number written on their foreheads, with the #4 (or the #2 in the case of the little devils) missing as it may be considered very unlucky by Zero, the King of the Little Devils.[10][11] |
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night In the Castlevania-inspired indie game, main protagonist Miriam can obtain an equippable accessory named the "Stone Mask", with its description reading "A stone mask once used by a tribal chief during ritual sacrifices." She can also obtain the "Hyperventilator" which looks like Joseph's training mask from Part 2, with its description "A mask designed to push the wearer to his or her physical limit." The "Voice changer" item is a color swap of the Hyperventilator. The "Gambler's Ring" item has a description which reads "A ring that bestows both luck and pluck to would-be gamblers." Late into the game, the player can be challenged by NPC Orlok Dracule, or O.D., to a secret boss fight. Upon his defeat, he gives Miriam a shard with the powerful ability "Standstill" that allows her to stop time. While the spell itself is inspired by the Stopwatch sub-weapon from the Castlevania series, the audiovisual presentation is distinctly different and in clear reference to The World; The visual effect of Standstill's activation resembles The World's time stop from the OVA, while the sound effect replicates that of the time stop from the Stardust Crusaders anime.[12] |
Capcom Fighting Evolution If Demitri uses his Midnight Bliss attack on Rose, she'll turn into a gondolier with a Venetian mask. This is a reference to Lisa Lisa from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, which was the basis for Rose's design. There's also a rare chance that she'll turn into Enya the Hag. |
Castlevania series A Stone Mask can be found in the library in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which is where Jonathan and Dio studied the properties of the Stone Mask. It appears again in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, with an appearance much more akin to the one's found in JoJo. In Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, if the Sacred Fist sub-weapon is used without a Spell Book activated, the protagonist shouts "Ora ora ora!" and unleashes a flurry of extremely fast, blur-like punches (in reference to Star Platinum). In Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, a soul called "Guardian Cagnazzo" can be obtained that makes a Cagnazzo demon appear behind the protagonist and punch wildly whilst shouting "Ora ora ora!" also in another reference to Star Platinum. In Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, one of the boss characters, Zephyr, utilizes time stopping abilities in conjunction with knives (much like DIO). Zephyr even shouts "Toki wo tomare" (Time has stopped). His fight on top of Cursed Clock Tower is another reference to Stardust Crusaders of the manga. |

The character Santana is likely a reference to mostly part 3, but also includes some part 2 elements. Appearance-wise, he strongly resembles Muhammad Avdol, with his official artwork mimicking Avdol's 'YES I AM!' pose. His voice actor is also Kiyoyuki Yanada, who voiced Jotaro in the Capcom fighting game. Aside from this, his name is also possibly a reference to the pillar man, Santana. |

Dark Souls According to the interview between Dark Souls' Director, Hidetaka Miyazaki, and Concept Artist, Daisuke Satake, found in Design Works artbook, the design of the Set of Thorns originated from the concept of the 77 Rings Challenge. In the challenge, combatants must defeat each other and wear the metal rings from each foe, increasing the weight they bear as they continue. The team's original idea was to use this design and try adding spikes to the rings, though it deviated along the way. Just before the Iron Golem boss, you can summon a white phantom named Black Iron Tarkus, which is likely a reference to Tarkus, as they share many similarities. They are both large powerful warriors who carry unwieldy weapons and thick armor, who both fall off a cliff in a similar fashion. In Dark Souls II, you can encounter a boss called Executioner's Chariot. During the original network test prior to the games release, this boss instead had the name Silver Chariot, referencing the Stand of the same name from Part 3. In Dark Souls III, a boss called High Lord Wolnir can be fought in the Catacombs of Carthus. He bears a striking resemblance to Enya Geil's Stand Justice. He is a colossal skeleton wearing a crown, and even uses fog to attack and harm the players. |

The flavor text for the Hayabusa Gauntlets reads "UselessUselessUselessUselessUselessUsel..." in reference to DIO's and Giorno's stand cry. The Hayabusa Gauntlets themselves attack by rapidly barraging the enemy with punches. |

The Henry Stickmin Collection Choosing "Diversion" in the Triple Threat route will play a cutscene where Henry and Ellie manage to distract a room full of Toppat Clan members by dancing. During this, three TC members can be seen doing the Torture Dance performed by Narancia Ghirga, Guido Mista and Pannacotta Fugo from Vento Aureo. Choosing "Spirit Mode" in the Revenged route will play a cutscene in which Henry and the Right Hand Man battle with Stand-like entities named "Spirits". Henry's Spirit is named "Reference" with the Stand Cry "Failure! Failure! Failure!" a possible reference to DIO's Stand Cry "Useless! Useless! Useless!". The Right Hand Man's Spirit is named "Time in a Bottle", a reference to the Jim Croce song of the same name, and is localized to "Bottled Time" in the subtitles, referencing localization of musical references in JoJo. The cutscene ends as a typical episode of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure would, with the endcard arrow instead reading "Mission Failed". In the endcard of the Cleaned 'em Out route, the Stone Mask can be seen on the wall behind Henry as an item that he steals from the Toppat Clan. The fail message displayed when attempting to bribe Mr. Macbeth in the Little Nest Egg route reads, "Henry really bribes? No dignity." referencing a quote from the "Duwang" translation of Diamond is Unbreakable, where Josuke Higashikata secretly attempts to dissuade Yukako Yamagishi from falling in love with Koichi Hirose. One of the members of the Toppat Clan, Ken Janpon, is in reference to Ken Oyanagi both are seen with a hole in their cheek and play rock, paper, scissors. In his bio it is also stated that "People feel weaker after losing to him." referencing Ken's stand Boy II Man. |

Hyperdimension Neptunia In Re;birth1, when the heroes discuss Noire's status as a loner, Neptune says her Stand power tells her Noire has no friends. MAGES.'s victory screen has her pose like Caesar's iconic pose. Rom and Ram have special attacks that open with them posing similar to Caesar. In Megadimension Neptunia VII, Neptune quotes Polnareff's speech from when he was exposed to DIO's The World. In Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls, Neptune references the smoke trick Jotaro used to expose the Impostor Captain Tennille.

Kaiser Knuckle series
One of the boss characters, Azteca, wears a face mask that is very similar to the Stone Mask. Also of note, his character select portrait shows that he has "DIOS" (Spanish for God) tattooed on his arm, which is reminiscent of "DIO", and his pre-fight animation consists of him bursting out of a stone pillar. His pose in the character select screen may be based on Kars' after becoming the Ultimate Life Form. |
League of Legends The champion spotlight video for Sett makes two references to the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. When showcasing Sett's ability to rapidly throw several punches, the announcer shouts "Muda muda muda!". At the end of the video, the scene where Dio Brando and Jotaro Kujo dramatically walk toward each other is also recreated. After Vanilla woke up she wonders why it's so late and suspects a Stand user attack. Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge The character Donovan Baine has the ability to summon different spirits during his several attacks. The Vampire Series Official Complete Works artbook includes a conceptual sketch, made by Kanameshi and Takenori Kimoto for the game Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge, wich showed Donovan summoning Moody Blues instead (p.110), referencing the Stand-like qualities of some of his summons. In the same page of said artbook there is also another (but instead earlier) sketch of Donovan where he appears posing very similar to DIO in Part 3. |

School Idol Project In the Love Live rhythm action game, a recruitable character Fumie Nishimura can be seen holding a book (on the level 1 version of her card). The character on the cover of her book seems to closely resemble the younger Joseph with Caesar's triangle-patterned bandana tied around his head. It is likely a reference to Serai, the blacksmith who made the sword Anubis possesses. There is also an enemy-only ability is called Bites The Dust, which is likely a reference to the ability of the same name. It inflicts the Bomb status on a target and said target will explode and die instantly next time it is attacked. |
Skullgirls Two playable characters from Skullgirls, Valentine and Peacock, are a homage to Dio Brando/DIO. Valentine can stop time and throw knives similar to DIO,[20] and Peacock can drop a steamroller on her opponents[21] though it is very rare.

Street Fighter series Lead designer of Street Fighter II, Akira Nishitani, stated in a interview with Polygon that the concept of Dhalsim's ability to stretch his limbs comes from the Ripple "Zoom Punch" technique.[23] This is reconfirmed in the comment section of Dhalism's bio in the Street Fighter X Tekken Artworks artbook. In an interview with producer Noritaka Funamizu, he reveals that Guile's overall appearance was modeled after Jean Pierre Polnareff.[24] Guile's page in Street Fighter X Tekken Artworks goes into detail, explaining that early designs included Polnareff's vertical, yet modest hairstyle, but at the time the sprites were being made for Street Fighter II, the pixel artist jokingly stretched Guile's hair out to the sides. The team found it amusing and decided to give him "the always distinctive Stroheim look" instead. Noritaka also explains that Guile's name was derived from Polnareff's archenemy, J. Geil, though this was apparently the result of a mix up from the development staff at the time. Rose was inspired by Lisa Lisa, her outfit is almost identical to Lisa Lisa's and both share a similar fighting style that consists of channeling energy into their scarves (Soul Power in the case of Rose and Ripple in the case of Lisa Lisa). Additionally, both characters like to take baths and Rose's stage in Street Fighter Alpha 2 is Venice, which is the same city where Joseph meets Lisa Lisa in the story. Furthermore, in Capcom Fighting Evolution, the Midnight Bliss attack would turn her into either a masked gondolier or Enya the Hag with a tweaked sprite from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future Juri Han has hair and clothes similar to Jolyne's. In addition, Juri has a spider motif and cleaves a butterfly in her official artwork; Jolyne has a butterfly motif and her Stand turns her body into threads and webs + she has spiderweb-patterned clothes. Juri even has the same "ora ora ora" battle cry as Jolyne. In Street Fighter V, the DLC character Seth has many moves based on older Capcom fighting games including JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future. His Hecatoncheires move is based on Jotaro and DIO's Blazing Fists, with the EX version of the attack ending with Jotaro's Star Breaker as Seth yells "ora ora ora". Some successful combos can lead to Seth doing DIO's Time Stop pose. |

Tekken series In his interview with EDGE magazine, Katsuhiro Harada, director of the Tekken series, admits that Paul Phoenix's hairstyle and first name are based on Jean Pierre Polnareff's. Masamichi Abe, now at Nintendo but back then a member of the Tekken planning team, was a fan.[25] Kazuya Mishima's combat gloves, strongly resemble Star Platinum's. In Tekken 3, Jin Kazama has the same combat gloves as both of them, but longer. Kazuya's Devil form in the original Tekken game bore a strong resemblance to Star Platinum, down to the purple skin, hairstyle, clothing and the aforementioned gloves. In Tekken 7, Claudio Serafino poses similarly to DIO in one of his moves, and as a customization item labeled as the "Ancient Mask" which is clearly modeled after the Stone Mask.

Terraria In Terraria, there is a weapon called "Vampire Knives" which are likely to be a reference to Dio Brando; Specifically, to Shadow Dio's knife throw from the arcade fighter of the same name, whose knives fan out in a manner similar to this weapon. The game also features an armor set called the "Stardust armor" that allows the player to summon a spiritual guardian when all the pieces are worn. The guardian will float directly behind the player, and the player can order the guardian to move and attack enemies. The animation for the guardian's attack bears a strong resemblance to the infamous beatdown of Steely Dan. The changelog for the Journey's End update also states that "all resemblance to a certain anime is purely coincidental." |

Within the popular tower-defense mobile game, there is a Super Rare Cat unit referred to as "Delinquent Cat". Unlocked by playing the Cat Capsule; Delinquient Cat's appearance resembles that of a banchō and it's main form of attack involves pointing in a manner akin to Jotaro Kujo and summoning a creature similar to Star Platinum to bombard the enemy with flying fists. |

The King of Fighters series Benimaru Nikaido's appearance was loosely based on Polnareff, right down to his outfit in The King of Fighters '94 and The King of Fighters '95. Even after Benimaru's name was decided, the game developers continued to refer to him as Polnareff.[26] Additionally, his taunt in The King of Fighters XI mirrors Polnareff's stature from the manga.

Touhou Project In the sixth game of the Touhou Project "The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil", the final boss Remilia Scarlet quotes Dio's famous bread phrase in Marisa's Scenario. In the eleventh game Subterranean Animism, Yuugi, an oni, fights Marisa "without spilling a drop of sake" (stated by Patchouli). Two of Kaguya Houraisan's Spellcards have references to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, the first one being Divine Treasure "Salamander Shield", which has in its comments a blatant reference to Esidisi. And the other one being New Impossible Request "Red Stone of Aja" referencing the valious stone in Battle Tendency, the Red Stone of Aja. Sakuya Izayoi is a maid who is the servant of the vampires Remilia and Flandre Scarlet. It's generally assumed that she's a tribute to DIO, as she employs the same style of combat (stopping time and using throwing knives) and even has attacks named after DIO's Stand power: Illusion World "The World" and Sakuya's World. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has been referenced several times in the official games. In Double Dealing Character, one of Sakuya's Spell Cards erases the time (respectively the present and future) of the surrounding bullets and thus erases the bullets. This might be a reference to Diavolo's Stand and implies that Sakuya might not be only a reference to Dio. In the seventh game Perfect Cherry Blossom, once Marisa defeats Ran (a shikigami), she asks her if she is a Long-distance Type, because her master is far away and she is quite strong. This is a clearly reference to the Stand Types in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. In Symposium of Post-mysticism, an official Touhou Fanbook, Toyosatomimi no Miko says that Koishi Komeiji "stopped thinking", using the phrasing of the famous line After a while, he stopped thinking (そのうち、考えるのをやめた。, Sono Uchi Kangaeru no wo Yameta) referencing Kars.

Undertale The Mad Dummy's repeated shout of "Futile" is similar to DIO's "Muda" which translates to "Futile/Useless". The Mad Dummy also throws a knife which is a part of DIO's arsenal. Mettaton's dancing resembles JoJo poses and he has heart-shaped bracelets which are similar to DIO's. Also, his concept art might be a Shadow Dio's pose reference. |
World Heroes series
Dio/Neo Dio is based on Dio Brando and Araki's earlier work Baoh the Visitor. Neo Dio's visual design is based on the protagonist of the manga, Baoh, while the dialogue in World Heroes Perfect is a reference to Dio Brando, such as the famous "Muda Muda!" and "Wryyy!" (in Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, his dialogue is more like Santana's). Dio's dialogue from World Heroes is also a reference to Dio Brando's lines. He also takes inspiration from Kars as he can form blades from his arms in certain moves, as well as how said moves are named "Sonic Saber" and "Grand Saber" reminiscent of Kars' "Bright Saber" title. |

Yandere Simulator In a December 2016 build of the game, an easter egg known as "Bad Romance Mode" was added. This mode activates after collecting 8 stationary objects scattered throughout the school and pressing Ctrl on the rooftop. Upon activation, Yandere-chan gains the stand "Bad Romance" (likely a reference to the 2009 hit: "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga) while an original song plays in the background, having a similar sound to the intro of BLOODY STREAM. While the stand is activated, Yandere-chan also gains a new idle animation where she strikes Jonathan Joestar's signature pose from Volume 4. When the stand goes in to attack, Yandere-chan poses similarly to Jotaro.

Heroes
In the NBC drama Heroes, the character Hiro Nakamura is a fan of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. In his blog, he states that he wants to "be like JoJo and Vaan and go on adventures" and that Part 3 is his favorite, especially the fights against the D'Arby brothers. One of his powers includes time manipulation, a gift shared with both Jotaro and DIO. In his blog he also mentions Joseph, Suzi Q and Boingo, whom he compares with Isaac Mendez. Isaac was an artist and comic book author whose works predicted the future just like Boingo's Thoth. Hiro later manages to stop time for more than 5 seconds and says that "JoJo was wrong" and posts on his blog under the pseudonym Jotaro Kujo. In the episode "Lizards", Hiro uses DIO & The World's battle cry "Muda Muda" during the Battle of Twelve Swords. He uses it again to taunt Daphne Millbrook while using his time manipulation ability to escape after taking her medal. |
La Cascara La Cascara is a comedy-sketch show based in Panama, and are known to make numerous reference to pop culture. In a highlight reel of a carnival challenge segment, the hosts parody Diamond is Unbreakable's 3rd Opening Great Days, recreating the poses of the Part 4 cast over an instrumental of the "Unit's" version of the opening. Also in an episode of La Cascara's internet series "Quiero Ser Influencer" ("I Want to Be an Influencer"), one of the skits featured uses tracks from the Golden Wind soundtrack.
