List of Spanish Other Hirohiko Araki Works

From JoJo's Bizarre Encyclopedia - JoJo Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

This is a list of all current Spanish, Argentinean and Mexican volumes of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga, as well as the titles of the chapters contained therein. Chapters are arranged by volume, with their appropriate volume titles and chapters listed underneath.

In Spain and Argentina, the series is distributed by Argentine Editorial Ivrea and its regional subsidiaries. Both editions are translated by Spanish Pablo Tschopp. In Spain, the series is released monthly since 2017,[1] with JoJolion starting in July 2023.[2] Their edition is based on the Japanese bunkoban edition, but it only goes up to Steel Ball Run, so JoJolion is published in standard tankōbon format. The Argentine edition is identical save the translation; it started in 2018 and is currently on Steel Ball Run.[3] For an unknown reason, the German and Polish editions, not published by Ivrea, use the covers of their releases.

The series for Mexico is distributed by Panini Comics, also in bunkoban format, since 2018,[4] currently on Steel Ball Run.[5]

Description

One summer, ten years ago, Rohan Kishibe is an amateur manga artist on vacation at his grandmother's house, where he meets a strange young woman named Nanase Fujikura. She tells him the story of an ancient painter and his only surviving painting. That painting is preserved in the Louvre, in Paris. Years later, after becoming a famous manga artist, Rohan's fascination with the girl and the painting will take him to the Parisian museum. It will be in the Louvre's underground warehouse where he locates the painting, a cursed painting that conceals and absorbs the secrets and pain of any human being who approaches it. But the painting also bears an image: a portrait of the wife of the painter who was sentenced to die for breaking the law, who is none other than Nanase herself. Rohan will discover that she is his ancestor, and that her appearance was intended to mitigate the suffering and hatred that the painting could evoke.[6]
