Straizo VS Joseph (1), originally Straizo's Ambition in the WSJ release, is the forty-eighth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. It is also the fourth chapter of Battle Tendency.
Summary
Straizo believes that the man in the pillar is the creator of the Stone Masks, and that he must be ancient. Speedwagon, contrary to what everyone believes, is still alive and asks Straizo why he did this. Straizo says he wants the power of the stone mask because he envied the eternal youth and powers of Dio Brando. After activating one of the stone masks, he becomes a vampire himself and sets out to find Joseph Joestar. He heads to New York in order to kill the last people who are aware of the power of the Stone Mask.
