JJL Chapter 84
Summary
6 days, 4 hours, 12 minutes before the harvest. Josuke, Rai and Yasuho start their search for the mysterious head doctor, the supposed last member of the Rokakaka Research Organization. Although she tags along, Yasuho is still certain that the Rokakaka is in the Higashikata House.
Rai then asks to meet the head doctor Satoru Akefu, but the receptionist naturally refuses to let a stranger interfere with his schedule. Bluntly insisting to meet the doctor and asking why there are no pictures of him on the website of the hospital, Rai's prying is interrupted when the receptionist sees Dr. Akefu walking away. However, the group cannot snap a picture of him and decides to trail him.
Despite supposedly being a 89 years old man walking with a cane, Akefu disappears from sight in the crowd of the hospital. Yasuho successfully guesses that he's taken a "staff only" staircase, but when they enter it, they see the doctor nearly at the bottom already. Suddenly, an unknown Stand appears on the ceiling. Josuke summons Soft & Wet to attack it but the Stand disappears.
Still following the doctor, the group suddenly collide with a hospital bed rolling in their way. Distracted, they have to search the corridor while Tooru distracts Yasuho, asking for help to save a little child from choking and then flirts with her. Annoyed, Josuke accuses Tooru of purposefully interfering with their search. Nonetheless, Tooru points out that the head doctor is sitting right behind him, shocking the trio.
Meanwhile, Mitsuba tries to reassure her son Tsurugi and asks if he's kept some secret from her, to which Tsurugi asks back if she isn't doing the same, making her nervous. 6 days, 3 hours, 25 minutes before the Harvest, Mitsuba then meets with the parents' association about the accident. Showing a recording of Tsurugi being near the iron gates just before they moved and wounded a comrade, the director asks Mitsuba for her opinion on the matter. Angry, Mitsuba says that there is no direct proof of Tsurugi's involvement and insults everyone before leaving. As a last act of spite, she uses Awaking III Leaves to make everyone splash themselves with their hot beverages.
However, Mitsuba then catches a glimpse of head doctor Satoru Akefu walking near the iron gates as the incident happened.
