Straizo vs. Joseph (story arc)
Straizo VS Joseph (ストレイツォＶＳジョセフ, Sutoreitso Bāsasu Josefu) is the second story arc in Battle Tendency.
Summary
In the ancient temple, Straizo reveals to Speedwagon that he's coveted the youth the Stone Mask granted since his meeting with Dio 50 years ago. He adorns one Mask and tells Speedwagon that his blood will make him immortal, and plans to kill Joseph and Erina to cut off loose ends. Speedwagon then faints.
In New York, Straizo confronts Joseph, but the latter's ability to generate the Ripple is less troublesome than his tactical genius, and Straizo inadvertently sets off several grenade Joseph hung on his scarf. Still, Straizo's regeneration kicks in, and Joseph chooses to flee. Straizo takes a woman hostage at the top of the Brooklyn Bridge to force him to fight again, but Joseph quickly defeats him when he sends Straizo's "Space Ripper Stingy Eyes" technique back at him and punches the Vampire with the Ripple. Straizo is sent out of the bridge but Joseph still catches him, wanting to know where is Speedwagon's corpse. Straizo reveals him instead the Man in the Pillar will soon wake up and will fight Joseph before killing himself.
Meanwhile it is revealed that Speedwagon is being kept prisoner by a Nazi platoon led by Major Stroheim.
Joseph then decide to head to Mexico.
