JJL Chapter 1
Welcome to Morioh Town (ようこそ杜王町へ, Yōkoso Moriō-chō e), originally The 'Wall Eye' Man (「壁の目」の男, "Kabe no Me" no Otoko) in the UJ release, is the eight hundred forty-eighth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. It is also the first chapter of JoJolion.
Summary
The story takes place in an alternate reality of the previously established town of Morioh.
Morioh has undergone a huge earthquake and giant unnatural protuberances, called "Wall Eyes" have sprung out of the ground all around the town. A girl finds the protagonist stuck under some earth, with a bite-shaped wound around his star-shaped birthmark. She calls the police because her impulse is to not touch him, assuming he might have some kind of infectious disease. The girl takes a picture of his wound with her phone and gives the police her name, Yasuho Hirose. She asks the protagonist for his name, but he can't seem to remember who he is. On her phone, the image of the birthmark changes as a circle forms around it and appears to be moving away from the bite mark. The protagonist starts to sink into the ground, but Yasuho grabs his arm and pulls him out. She wonders what was with that hole he was in, which looks to be deep. The protagonist is revealed to be completely naked with the exception of his hat.
A man named Joshu Higashikata, as revealed by Yasuho, suddenly appears and spots Yasuho and the protagonist, much to her reassurance. Joshu however sees the protagonist as a threat to 'his' Yasuho. In an attempt to kill him, Joshu shoves Yasuho out of the way and tries to bash the protagonist's head in with a rock. He manages to thwart any of the protagonist's attempts to stop him. Just as Joshu was about to strike the protagonist, a bubble had formed from his star-shaped birthmark. When the bubble had popped, Joshu's eyes 'popped' as well leaving him without eyesight. The protagonist managed to deliver a blow to Joshu resulting in him restoring his eyesight as well as vomiting into his hands and passing out.
Yasuho then narrates about the origins of a curse based on different interpretations. She mentions that no how matter how much she ponders on the subject, curses simply can't affect reality and it's all human imagination. She also wonders about where the protagonist came from and who he really is. She mentions that the protagonist, strangely, had four testicles which was confirmed by the paramedics.
