Ultimate Warriors from Ancient Times (story arc)
Ultimate Warriors from Ancient Times (太古から来た究極戦士, Taiko kara Kita Kyūkyoku Senshi) is the fourth story arc in Battle Tendency.
Summary
Still hostile to each other, Joseph and Caesar are brought along with Speedwagon to the Coliseum underneath which the Pillar Men rest by Caesar's friend Mark. However in the room where the Pillar Men were supposed to be watched, they realize that everyone has been killed. Mark stumbles upon the Pillar Men, and Wamuu casually walks through Mark, digesting and killing him in the process. As the Pillar Men discuss their plan to look for the Red Stone of Aja, Caesar, outraged by the death of his friend Mark, attacks Wamuu. However he discovers that Wamuu knows how to counter the Ripple and defeats Caesar, and the Pillar Men reveal that they've wiped out the clan 2000 years ago. They begin to walk away, but Joseph challenges Wamuu. Wamuu's masters Kars and Esidisi walk away while Wamuu remains to fight Joseph. Overconfident, Wamuu is wounded by Joseph but retaliates with his special technique the Holy Sandstorm which sends Joseph flying away. When Wamuu diverts his attention to Speedwagon and Caesar, Joseph flee aboard a rail cart. Wamuu notices it and follows Joseph, who reveals that it was all a ploy to lure him away from his companions.
