Caesar's Lonely Youth (シーザー孤独の青春, Shīzā Kodoku no Seishun) is the tenth story arc in Battle Tendency.

Summary

The group observes the manor where the Red Stone was supposed to be sent to. Sensing a trap, Joseph argues that attacking right now in broad daylight could be dangerous. However Caesar is eager to kill the Pillar Men and departs alone toward the lair of the Pillar Men. When Caesar reaches the manor, the main entrance is wide open and Caesar senses an invisible presence. Meanwhile, Lisa Lisa tells Joseph the past of Caesar Zeppeli.

When Caesar was young, he and his siblings were abandoned by his father without clear reason. After a relative stole their remaining money, Caesar began to hate his father and became a delinquent. Years later he spotted his father who was heading to the Coliseum room where the Pillar Men were sleeping, and followed him to kill him. However Caesar was caught into a trap and his father sacrificed himself to save the teenager, without knowing that he was his son. This made Caesar very proud of his lineage and angry at the Pillar Men, explaining his eagerness to destroy them.

When Messina joins Caesar to prevent him from entering the manor, the invisible man, revealed to be Wamuu, attacks. Wamuu manages to drag Messina into the manor and returns outside to fight Caesar. Caesar demonstrates his progress by overwhelming Wamuu with his improved Ripple-infused bubbles, and Wamuu retreats inside the manor through a wall. Caesar follows him into the main hall. He uses his bubbles as lenses to burn Wamuu, but makes the fatal mistake of jumping at him to finish him off. Wamuu uses that opportunity to unleash his Holy Sandstorm and fatally wound Caesar. The very weak Caesar steals Wamuu's lip ring where the antidote for Joseph is and protects it in a bubble made from his blood before being crushed by a piece of the roof. Wamuu, respectful of Caesar's prowess, leaves the bubble for Joseph.

When Joseph and Lisa Lisa enter the manor, they see Messina who is still alive and can't help but cry at Caesar's death.
