Kars the Ultimate Being Is Born (超生物カーズ誕生, Chō Seibutsu Kāzu Tanjō) is the fourteenth and final story arc in Battle Tendency.

Summary

Kars the Ultimate Being.

With the unwitting help of the Nazis, Kars completed his evolution as the Stone Mask shatters and the Super Aja falls to the ground. At first, Stroheim noting the Pillar Man's forearm still melting from Joseph's attack, Kars seemed to be the same. But after looking towards nearby animals, Kars sets his sights on a squirrel while morphing his hand into a facsimile that approaches the rodent. Only Joseph knows something is horribly wrong as the flesh-eating squirrel Kars created from his body kills the real squirrel before decimating Stroheim and his men. The flesh-eating squirrel returns to Kars and is reabsorbed while morphing into a butterfly and then a flower, Speedwagon realizing that the Pillar Man can now manipulate his body at a genetic level. Everyone is horrified more when Kars is still standing after the sun has risen and obliterated his remaining vampires.

Stroheim is completely aghast, blaming himself for causing the end of mankind before Joseph reveals that he still has his all-or-nothing gambit: His final move. After telling Stroheim and everyone present that this move is something they must do for themselves, Smokey realizing what it is, Joseph runs away after grabbing the Super Aja. Noticing Joseph running off, announcing that all other Ripple users are now beneath him, Kars sprouts wings while proclaiming that will avenge Esidisi and Wamuu. Smokey, running after Joseph, tries to tell him that Lisa Lisa is his mother. But Joseph is too distracted to listen before he steals one of the Germans' airplanes and lures Kars away from the others.

Kars hit with an airplane.

After a brief dogfight with Kars attempting to force the plane down by firing his feathers as armadillo-skinned projectiles, Joseph realizes he cannot avoid the Pillar Man forever as the fuel is dwindling. Speedwagon contacts Joseph via radio as Joseph comes up with a plan to destroy Kars with the planet itself: namely plowing the Pillar Man into a nearby volcanic island around Italy. Thinking of the apparent curse that claimed of Joseph's forefathers, Speedwagon attempts to deter the Joestar by revealing Lisa Lisa's identity. But the radio signal dissipates as Joseph finds himself attacked by piranhas morphed from Kars's feathers, which manage to disable one of the propellers. Joseph uses his parachute to lure Kars into the path of the plane as he sets it on a crash course for the volcano's crater.
