Flame Mode Esidisi (story arc)

Flame Mode Esidisi (炎・流法 エシディシ, Honō Nagare Hō Eshidishi) is the sixth story arc in Battle Tendency.

Summary

A fight ensues between Esidisi and Joseph. While Joseph made such tremendous progress that he is able to pierce the Pillar Man's skin with the Ripple, Esidisi has the power to heat his body enough that his blood can ignite things. Esidisi proves to be as cunning as Joseph and repeatedly unnerves him by destroying Loggins' corpse and stealing his catchphrase. Joseph tries to lay strings around Esidisi, whom he notices and cuts. Sure of his victory, Esidisi surrounds Joseph with his veins full of hot blood. However Joseph made sure that there was a second set of strings that Esidisi wouldn't bother to observe, and uses that second string to conduct the Ripple around the Pillar Men. Esidisi dies in a bright flash of light and Joseph drinks the antidote from his ring. However unbeknownst to Joseph, Esidisi has survived as a simple brain and attached himself to Joseph's back.
