Straizo vs. Joseph, Part 2 (ストレイツォＶＳジョセフ その②, Sutoreitso Tai Josefu Sono 2), originally Master of the Game (ゲームの達人, Gēmu no Tatsujin) in the WSJ release, is the fifth chapter of Battle Tendency and the forty-ninth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.
Summary
A short flashback shows Erina worried about Joseph's possible death as he's involved with the Stone Mask too.
Joseph is resolute to risk his life as he opens fire on Straizo with a Thompson submachine gun, blasting him through the window. He steps inside, and the inhabitants (including Smokey) are either in shock or fearful of him, believing he has killed a man. To Joseph's astonishment, Straizo gets up unscathed. Straizo explains that he's protected himself with a special scarf that conducted all of the Ripple away. Gloating about the power of the vampires, Straizo attacks him with a ray of vitreous humor, a technique dubbed Space Ripper Stingy Eyes, seemingly piercing Joseph's forehead and throat. However, the Joseph that Straizo damaged turns out to be a reflection in a mirror, and Joseph, abusing the fact that Straizo no longer has a reflection, comes up from behind him and bashes him in the face with the butt of his gun. He immediately charges the gun with the Ripple to attack him.
