Light Mode Kars (story arc)
Light Mode Kars (光・流法 カーズ, Hikari Nagare Hō Kāzu) is the ninth story arc in Battle Tendency.
Summary
With Joseph conflicted on whatever he should fight or run after seeing Stroheim defeated, Kars proceeds to take the Super Aja from the cyborg. But Stroheim retaliates with a UV laser fired from his right bionic eye, forcing Kars to drop the stone as it begins to slide down the snowy slope towards a cliff. Racing against the faster Kars for the stone, noting the Pillar Man intends to run over the edge into the abyss below, Joseph kicks at Kars in what appeared to be attempt to keep him away from the stone and send him off the cliff himself. But when Kars dodges and reaches for the stone, Joseph revealed that he was actually kicking the snow to slow the Pillar Man down and grab the Super Aja. However, Kars pierces Joseph's shoulder with a Light Blade from his foot and drags him off the cliff with him.
The two men both fall down a ravine as Joseph attempts to use his Ripple to grab an icicle before Kars knocks it down to continue their 175 meter death plunge. Joseph attempts to send a Ripple to Kars, but Kars knocks JoJo into a wall and tries to slash the human. But Joseph uses the Super Aja as protection before using his Ripple to connect a series of icicles and form a rope-like shape, with Caesar instinctively forming the other end. holding the other end. At the bottom of the ravine, rebounding himself to avoid landing on a flower, Kars laughs manically before allowing Joseph to keep the stone for one more day.
