Chapter 46
Joseph Joestar of New York (2) (ニューヨークのジョセフ・ジョースター その②, Nyū Yōku no Josefu Jōsutā Sono 2), originally The Living Statue (生きた彫像, Ikita Chōzō) in the WSJ release, is the forty-sixth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. It is also the second chapter of Battle Tendency.
Summary
Speedwagon shows Straizo that inside the pyramid, there are many stone masks much like the one Dio used, and above it all, a man cast into a stone pillar. The writings and bas-reliefs on the wall make it appear that the man could be the creator of the masks. Thus Speedwagon asks Straizo to destroy the creature before it wakes up. Unexpectedly, Straizo kills his disciples and attacks Speedwagon, declaring that the power of the Ripple cannot give eternal life. Envying Dio's capabilities and determined to get his youth back, Straizo announces that he must wear the Stone Mask to reattain his youth.
