…Funny Valentine was inspired by Thomas J. Whitmore, the President in the movie Independence Day?[1]
Normally, most people hate Part 5 because: -They dislike Giorno -They don't understand King Crimson and don't like Diavolo -Their translation ruined the story for them -The image quality of the scans they were reading were terrible -They don't want to like it -Somebody else told them they shouldn't like it.
Part 5 is an amazing part and it's mostly just hated because of Giorno's character or them just not enjoying the part. The hate can also likely trace from the extreme amounts of popularity Part 5 has, as Giorno is arguably the most iconic Jojo character in the west because of his theme. Both in Japan and the West, Part 5 is very popular. La Squadra is probably the most popular villain group in JoJo, to the point most Part 5 stans absolutely adore them or dedicate their entire personality to one of them,
It's just so popular I think people get mad it overshadows other parts, with it being the most represented part in ASBR, the best Part anime-wise, the most popular in Japan and the most familiar part to non-JoJo fans. Who hasn't heard of Giorno at this point?
It's kinda like if someone hated One Piece for overshadowing Bleach, if you get what I mean.
