Template:Location infobox The Colosseum (コロッセオ, Korosseo, italian. Colosseo) is a location featured in Battle Tendency and Vento Aureo. Also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, it is an oval-shaped amphitheater in a ruined state and one of the most famous examples of its kind.

It is notably the place where the three Pillar Men slumbered until their awakening in 1938. It is also the location where Team Bucciarati meets with a mysterious ally who wishes to reveal the Arrow's hidden potential to them.

Summary

This section requires expansion.
The Colosseum is one of Rome's most famous landmarks, and a recurring place of interest in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. It's basically a big ruin of an amphitheater the Roman Emperor, Vespasian, had had build in honor of his dynasty, the Flavians. Thus it was named the Flavian Amphitheater. It was a marvel of architecture and engineering, as it was able to welcome at least 50,000 visitors. In here, many spectacles were organized, from gladiator fight to execution, and awesome naumachia (naval battles after they flooded the arena). It was abandoned and it fell to ruin over time because of earthquakes and the locals taking the stone to use it. Nowadays, it's mostly a tourist trap.

One big difference with reality is the existence of a large cavern underneath the Coliseum which was were the Pillar Men slumbered. The cavern itself was decorated strange Roman statues and weird murals. The entrance of the cavern is supposedly covered by a famous marble mask named Booca della Verità, but in reality the mask wouldn't be sitting near the Coliseum.
