Stroheim's Unit Strikes Back (Story Arc)
Stroheim's Unit Strikes Back (シュトロハイム隊の逆襲, Shutōrohaimu-tai no Gyakushū) is the eighth story arc in Battle Tendency.
Summary
After Lisa Lisa hypnotized Suzi Q to information while she was possessed by Esidisi, she and the other Ripple users drive off to catch the train holding the package containing the Super Aja before it reaches it's destination in Saint Mortiz, Swizterland. However, at the Italian/Swiss border, the group find the train inspected by a Nazi Platoon has already seized the Red Stone of Aja. The commander of the platoon, apparently familiar with Joseph, suggests his group to come with him to work with him out of mutual interest.
Five hours later, after nightfall, Kars arrives at the Nazis' location and uses his the temperature to analyze five people before skillful killing them before entering the building. But Kars finds a sixth person waiting for him: the platoon's commander. The general takes the time to compliment Kars on his speed and intelligence, the Pillar Man not acknowledge yet curious why he couldn't sense him. As Joseph enters the room, the commander is revealed to be Rudol von Stroheim who survived and has been transformed into a cyborg by the Nazis based on the stats they acquired from Santana. After Kars expressed a strong desire to kill Joseph whom he instinctively knew killed Esidisi, he explains to Strohiem that he is nothing like the weaker Santana as he uses his Light Mode to dispatch Stroheim's bullets before disabling the cyborg and interrogating him to hand over the Super Aja.
