Passione
Passione (パッショーネ, Passhōne) is an Italian Mafia gang created by The Boss who remained unknown to the members until Giorno actively worked to overthrow him. It had 756 members prior to Giorno's membership and controlled Naples' hotels, port construction sites, and restaurants. Its main businesses were originally gambling and drugs.
History
Giorno joins Passione with the intent to overthrow its boss and seize Naples from him, as well as help Buccellati put a stop to the drug activities that endanger Italy's youth. It is due to both this dream and Giorno's actions that Buccellati and his subordinates slowly change and become more than willing to betray the boss. After the boss's defeat, Giorno takes over as the head of Passione and, as can be assumed, changes things from the inside.
Membership
In order to join, one must be approved by an operative in the gang through an interview. Polpo mandates a test in which one tries to keep a lighter lit for 24 hours. If the applicant fails to do so, Polpo's stand will automatically activate and target anyone who steps into the shadows, stabbing them with the Arrow. If it succeeds, the person will turn into a stand user if they have enough spiritual energy. If not, they will die painfully. This is considered a cost-effective way to weed out the weak while simultaneously produce stand users and reliable people.
