Hawaii

Manga Debut: The JOJOLands Chapter 1: Departure

Hawaii (ハワイ, Hawai, Hawaiʻi in the indigenous Hawaiian language), an archipelago of subtropical volcanic islands, and also the 50th state of the United States of America. It is where a branch of the Joestar Family lives: Barbara Ann Joestar and her children Jodio and Dragona. It is mostly characterized as a crime-ridden place in the story.

Hawaiʻi also refers to the largest island in the archipelago (sometimes just called the "Big Island"), with the other major islands being Maui, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, Niʻihau, and Kahoʻolawe. The state capital is Honolulu (ホノルル, Honoruru).

Jodio's House

Jodio's House, a little ranch-style house situated in Honolulu. He lives there with his mother Barbara Ann and older brother Dragona.

McKinley High School

President William McKinley High School, a Honolulu high school which Jodio Joestar and Usagi Alohaoe attend. Recognizable via the statue of former U.S. President William McKinley near the entrance. The school's principal is Ms. Meryl Mei Qi.

Iko Iko

Namesake: Iko Iko (New Orleans folk song)

Iko Iko (アイコアイコ, Aiko Aiko), a fashion boutique in the Honolulu neighborhood of Kalihi where Dragona Joestar works as an employee. It is owned by Meryl Mei Qi. In reality, it is a front for Meryl Mei's criminal business and she launders her illegal income through the boutique. She also convenes meetings with her underlings here.

A mansion located on Hawaiʻi that is owned by Rohan Kishibe. Jodio Joestar and his companions are tasked to break into it and steal a precious diamond the tourist has brought with them. The gang discovers that Rohan set up a laboratory in the office in order to tinker with some of the cooled ʻaʻā Lava Rock.

Manga Debut: The JOJOLands Chapter 8: Hualalai - Cat Size, Part 3

A luxury watch shop situated on Hawaiʻi. Dragona decides to test the powers of the Lava Rock here to see if they can somehow take something precious with them. One lone salesman manages the shop with a couple of security guards. The shop has a special back room where visitors are allowed to see and test the watches should the salesman allow them in.

Hualalai

Manga Debut: The JOJOLands Chapter 12: Charming Man

Hualālai (フアラライ山, Fuararai-san) is an active volcano on Hawaiʻi. Its peak stands 8,271 feet (2,521 m) above sea level, and is estimated to have risen above sea level about 300,000 years ago. Despite maintaining a very low level of activity since its last eruption in 1801, Hualālai is still considered active. Its slopes are covered in lava tubes, tunnels formed by flowing lava from a volcanic vent that moves beneath the hardened surface of a lava flow. These lava tubes leave caves when the lava in the tube empties.

Although the area receives practically no rain and there is no water source nearby, Charming Man witnessed the tubes being welled up with water at one point. The Lava Rock fragments fall out from those tubes. Charming Man's brother Mauka disappeared there, somehow falling into a lava tube and being dragged away both by the water current and a mysterious person.

The Hawaii State Land Registry Office (ハワイ州土地登記所, Hawai-shū Tochi Tōkijo) holds physical and digital records of all of the deeds of ownership of land in the state, such as those belonging to the company HOWLER. The security in the office is notable, due to the sheer worth of the documents archived within. For instance, visitors may look at but not touch any of the original documents when consulting them, and a security guard will put gloves on and flip pages for the visitors instead.
