Andre Boom Boom (アンドレ・ブンブーン, Andore Bunbūn) is a minor antagonist from Steel Ball Run and part of the Boom Boom Family.

Appearance/Personality

Andre appears as a boy in his early twenties and his most peculiar physical character are the freckles that cover his face. He has the odd abilities to make his nostrils flat and put his whole ear in his ear hole.

Just like the other members of the family, Andre does not seem completely sane, but he shows a little more intelligence than his younger brother.

Synopsis

Andre is one of the Steel Ball Run racers that ambushes Gyro and Johnny during the course of the second stage. He and his family prepare a plan in order to kill Gyro and take the money of his bounty: after letting himself be bitten by a poisonous lizard, he approaches the protagonists, asking for fire to clean his wounds.

In order to persuade them to get closer, Andre cuts the bitten part of his body with a knife, after having strangled himself to induce a state of anesthesia. Gyro comes closer and touches Andre's knife with his foot, becoming prey of Andre's Stand power.

While Gyro is turned into a human magnet, the other members of the family attack them on their horses. Andre quickly regains consciousness, but Gyro quickly disposes of him, using his Steel Balls to throw rocks at great speed and pierce Andre, leaving him with a big hole in the stomach.

Though Andre did not die, he was seriously injured and unable to continue the fight. His father Benjamin, on the other side, exploited his son's ability to change Johnny and Mountain Tim into human magnets as well, preparing another plan.

After their father's death, it is unknown what happened to him and his brother.

Stand

Main article: Tomb of the Boom 2

Andre shares his Stand with the other two members of his family, making it the first Stand to have more than one user at the same time. It grants all members of the family the ability to manipulate Iron, though in different ways. In Andre's case, Tomb of the Boom 2 allows him to turn any living being it touches into magnets. His blood can transmit the magnetism as well, so it actually doesn't need to touch other people: a small drop of his blood is enough to activate it.
